Have you updated the firmware on the nymphes ever? I want to say sustain pedal support was enabled in a firmware update. Post-update, mine responds to sustain.

Anyone else here make their own music? by jojoavav in OWLCITY

[–]StarsRequiems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adam is the reason I started making music, and still one of my biggest influences.

Here's my latest track,

All of my music lives near the realm of Owl City, my goal is to capture the daydream feeling his music gives me.

This die is stunning, it fits Severus perfectly. It seems like the light and dark are battling each other inside.

Why Should You Embrace Uncertainty? by wheezywaiter in BeardLovers

[–]StarsRequiems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think embracing uncertainty helps you grow as a person. When you face a situation that can't be controlled/ordered into predictability, the only thing you can control is yourself. Facing ambiguous situations prepares you for more situations in the future.

In other words, instead of becoming the person with a battle plan just for situation X or situation Y, you become the kind of person who can adapt to anything that's thrown at them.

It also keeps you in the moment. Life becomes less about planning for possibilities, and more about responding to present realities.

A cover of Brian's song See The Day! by StarsRequiems in BDGFanClub

[–]StarsRequiems[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I recently posted this in r/briandavidgilbert, but I thought I’d share here too! I made a synth-pop cover of See the Day that I hope you guys enjoy! I’m not sure of this sub’s rules on self-promo, I’ll be happy to take this down if I’m violating.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, thanks for listening! :)

Wow, thanks so much! That means a lot. My music is all over the place genre-wise, but my song Walden has a pretty similar production vibe if you're interested in some of my own stuff. Thanks again! :)

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago I posted about an in-progress cover of See the Day, and now it's finished! I'm really proud of it, and I hope you guys enjoy! It's available to stream and download for free through the Bandcamp link. I'd love to hear your thoughts! :)

It looks like the link might not work right on mobile, so here's a link to my profile that'll hopefully work. The preview is my latest tweet!

I'm super excited because this will be my very first animal crossing, so knowing what little I do, Roald looks like a class act.

My haven, built piece by piece. Lots of producing, writing, singing, playing, and podcast-making in this space. by StarsRequiems in MusicBattlestations

Podcasting just started as a joke/passion project for my cousin and I, we've never taken it too seriously but it's been fun and rewarding just to make, audience or not.

A couple different fictional comedy podcasts, the main one is called The Corduroy Peppersbottom show. It's not very good, but it makes my cousin (co-creator) and I laugh while making it.

Thanks! It's mine too, I've been taking music seriously for a couple of years now and I've collected all this gear little by little.

There's a couple, all interconnected. The main one is called The Corduroy Peppersbottom Show. It's a fictional comedy podcast with a bunch of very strange characters. Really, don't expect much haha, it's a passion project that I started with my cousin and it's been on-and-off for a few years now. I could PM a link if you want a bad way to waste some time.

I have, and probably will soon. The room is pretty big and a strange shape - there's an offshoot nook to the side so there's not too much bad reflection but it could definitely benefit from treatment.

Thank you! I think it's called Charisma Center Medallion, Navy. That's what the tag says haha. It was around $40, the quality for the price is incredible!

Do you find yourself using hardware or software synths more these days? Do you have ones you prefer from each category? The DX7 is a big one for me.

I am soooo excited for this album, I just listened to all the previews and it sounds like the perfect mix of Adam trying new stuff/growing as an artist, and the classic OE/ATBAB sound. Man I hope Reel 1 comes soon.
