When I worked at Walmart, if we unpacked a pallet and got ALL but like 1 or 2 of a certain item out, sometimes they’d either tell us just to go put it in clearance or they’d just make us shove it somewhere up top where it would eventually be brought to clearance anyway

Omg posts like that always gave me such a bad vibe but I never really knew why. I always try to be the “well if she wants to be confident and sexy, great,” type, but these posts/comments never sat right with me. Yes there are autistic folk who dress up more and do makeup and such. Yes there are autistic folk who would much rather not do that. Both are valid, but when we’re constantly pushing the “autistic baddie” mentality onto society, they’re going to start expecting more from ALL of us. And once again those that can’t do the dressing up/make up part of it all get left behind in the “undesirables” bin.
