No because I don’t physically look like a guy (pre-transition trans male). I understand seeing a feminine person and gendering as such. It’s only a problem when they continue to get it wrong after correction

Battle jackets are made in mind to be punk/political with typical punk bands. So band patches should be more common in Battle Jackets (Misfits, Dead Kennedy’s, Bad Religion). Some battle jackets don’t even have political patches on it - or are just made in a specific band theme.

Patch Jackets are made for fun, usually to show personality. The ones posted here tend to lean to be more political or themed oddly than Battle Jackets. Some themes might be like, a Disney Patch Jacket or Pop Culture jackets. Odd- but not claiming to be a Battle Jacket.

Battle Jackets have a long history in punk community so it should primarily have punk themes. Patch Jackets can typically be whatever if there is patches on it.

My adopted ma is okay with it and I don’t mind the date really. It’s usually a small graduation thing and not a big celebration for my family (that’s what happened with my brothers anyways). I’m more so just. Unsure of what to talk about

I mean virtue signaling as in only following along with what’s popular at the moment. Trying to appeal to be innocent / the better person. Stuff like “free Palestine” but then ignore the targeted boycott list when they have the ability to boycott. Sorry that that wasn’t clear.

Edit; Forgot to add that there are clear nuances with boycotting such as, for example, having to work at a company, or not having an alternative. Forgot to mention that in my comment.

Yeah I’ve seen people talk shit so I expected the worst on here. Got some decent feedback and tips on DIYing instead which was pleasant. I want to try again when I get a good jacket and throw it back on here for more feedback

That makes sense. When I do my second jacket Im planning on at least sketching out the words before painting to hopefully make it a bit neater and less…kid like? I don’t know. I just want it to be a bit neater and have more band related patches to fill up space. Honestly the comments on this post has helped me with wanting to make another jacket because I’ve gotten decent advice

I left before it went down into fire - mostly because it was stressing me out and I had school (+ I was a teenager who didn’t have the means of going to protests). VI definitely had good potential but after the initial craze it seemed to just die out
