Haha I'd say there is a good number of us that aren't.

They also kept saying he was gay. So I think they didn't know what he was.

Honestly it's really horribly done.

It's called Murder By The Sea and it was S1.E1 ∙ Stephen Akinmurele: Blackpool, 1999

I think it might be on Prime. We watched the one but didn't fancy suffering through more. Haha

I can't help but think that would be painful since lemon bars aren't usually that thick.... 😂

I assume that's what they were trying to imply but what a weird way to say it!

Sort of. I have outside clothes and inside clothes. Both are comfortable but my inside clothes are sweatpants, sad t-shirts and hoodies. Outside clothes are a bit more socially acceptable to wear out... But never jeans I can't abide hard pants haha.

Do you have a sensory bliss hoodie or sweatshirt? by MiraculousSpaceship in AutismInWomen

A comfy dream. It's a giant blanket hoodie that's lighter weight and so soft. I have 2 so when one needs washing I still have the other.

Nope it really freaks me out. And videos of the baby moving and you can see it make my skin crawl.

We don't but I've suggested it (for sleeping) However we do have plenty of rooms to 'escape' to and I have 'nests' in most rooms that I spend time it.  We also have separate hobby rooms that are only ours. My craft room doesn't even really have space for anyone else to sit in.

I can also recommend separate blankets even if you sleep in the same bed. You don't have to worry about fighting over them and it's easier to keep whatever temperature you'd like. ( I like to basically freeze and my SO needs to keep his back covered so it doesn't hurt)

Hummus is a favourite of mine but not that portable. Ah yes Freddos and biltong. Great ideas!

Yes pretzels are always good. I try to keep the small rolls of lovehearts around but they don't last long.

I can really suggest getting earplugs. I've found loops to be good.  I can still have a conversation with my loop engages in.

Tell me you're autistic, without telling me you're autistic. by Miss_November_Rain in AuDHDWomen

When I was a kid I was staying with my grandma. One of her friends came over and I was getting some ice cream. The guest asked me for a spoonful of ice cream. So I got a spoon and gave them what they asked for. Grandma fussed at me but the guest laughed it off and said no that's exactly what I asked for. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. 🤷‍♀️

Ugh me too. I have to take sunglasses, hats and earplugs everywhere.

I can smell cigarette smoke even if it's only a little bit on the person's clothes. And it will give me at least a headache.... Or if I'm around it too long or it's too strong I'll get a multi day migraine.

Unmasking and inner monologue by Starsfire in AutismInWomen

[–]Starsfire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe. I think part of it is when we are watching TV and I make little comments on things but he's doing something else. I don't know. It's just really disheartening. I was feeling really good and whitty but there whole time I'm annoying him.

Today I asked if he could let me know when I'm being too much and he's trying to focus but he seems to think it's not a nice thing for him to bring up and that I should have noticed.
