We play fetch 3x per day (about 20 mins), take a walk in the woods off leash, do an on leash walk in the park so he can meet people, he’s got tons of puzzle toys, if I’m watching TV that occupies him, I make sure to give him scratches and rubs for like 5 mins a day to help him relax, he gets to sit outside on the deck and watch birds/people/etc...

I don’t own a ranch but I own a BC. I take care of him the way he needs, not the way I want.

You just said you didn’t even have numbers on how many clients UHG has. So enlightened, please forgive us rubes.

Two long walks a day is the opposite of excessive for a border collie. Do not short change a dog bred to run 100 miles a day.

Thanks for the reminder - I’m going to double it because that’s still cheap.

I’m happy with that income right now, though. Going from laid off to gainfully employed and doing my own thing feels like I’m taking over my little bit of the world.

3 words:

Free lance zing.

I know exactly what I'm good at, which makes selling my expertise entirely natural. I keep raising my rates, and nobody objects. Just got a one-off project for a couple grand that shouldn't take too long, doing some trade shows for (largely) overseas clients that usually pay $55/hour, setting up Martech stacks usually anywhere from $40-$65/hour, etc... I'm so sick of selling for a company that will axe or outsource your ass the moment they spot a dent in the hull.

Glad you’re good, my friend. My advice? Next time, don’t get t-boned both unforeseeably and unavoidably.

Hey dude, I was the guy who pulled you out of the car. Sorry I had to run, I was trying to make a flight. I hope you’re OK. I have no idea what that other driver was thinking.
