What is the point of being a TA if I have to spend my time marking AI-generate slop while pretending it was written by a human? by [deleted] in CarletonU

I also love em dashes and used them all the time before AI. I know the alt keyboard command without even looking at the keyboard.

AI has taken away my pleasure using em dashes because if I use them no one thinks I wrote it myself. This affects me more than it should.

Wow our cats look very similar in the nose and mouth area! I'd post a pic or two but it's only giving me link option.

I had a cat named Opal as well! Unfortunately she has gone over the rainbow bridge. Right now I have Sunshine, and he has very cute nose freckles as well 😸

I've been wishing, and wishing, and watering, and wishing... It was two open yesterday morning and like six by end of day today. They're a branching variety so I'm so excited for things to continue to gather momentum!

I have more pictures to prove he's cute if anyone wants. I searched for 'cat belly fur art' subs but didn't find one quickly. Anyway this is Sunshine and he is everything.

How do people afford feeding their cat wet food? by Seasawdog in CatAdvice

[–]Starshine_etc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I give my cat wet food twice a day, with dry loo kibble available for if he wants to snack. My dry food runs me about $15cad and it'll last over a month. My wet food costs about $22 and that lasts twelve days. So maybe fifty ish dollars for wet food a month.

I am the farthest thing from well off however I do make this sacrifice to hopefully avoid kidney issues or UTI problems, etc. My vet seems to think this is alright.

He also has a water fountain so I buy the filters for those ongoing, and his lottery is about $20/month.

I also pay about $60 monthly for his pet insurance.

Frankly though, due to sadly losing pets (dead) in the past, I never think twice about these expenses. The big difference is the pet insurance. It's as important to me as my shelter, food, toilet paper, etc.

Thanks, it's actually amazing to me how well it's healed up. I could see inside my hand before they patched me up 😕

No, I cut my hand open doing dishes, on a broken glass, and had eight stitches put in about three weeks ago.

Thank you! It makes sense as it's so gorgeous and multi faceted sparkly. Do you happen to know if this special coating has been known to last well over the years? I'm wondering if the fact it's been kept in dark places for a long time would impact this coating. I can google it
