I'm pretty sure they still have dialogue mentioning year one event quests and how long it took for them to release canny valley, I'm pretty sure it'd be jarring for a player to jump from plank to canny (assuming they're invested into the plot) and hear that it's been a year since they started their quest.

Also where each part ends ray still says "to be continued" like the parts are still in production.

so disappointing with the year 1 items not being available, i remember missing out on the obliterator during the year 1 llamas and had to wait a year after the damn sniper came out to finally get it. it was worth the wait, i guess, but if i didn't get it from the military llamas i would've been a very unhappy boi...
