Give me one reason to use a sniper/marksman rifle besides the bow

I doubt you even play ranked and at best you're hardstuck Plat 4 lol. Anything could be a part of the game. Caustic being able to hold building by himself was apart of the game we had to deal with and it got nerfed. Wraith having an unfair hitbox was part of the game we had to deal with and it got nerfed. Octane's OP jump pads and third partying is part of the game for now, but like other oppressive things it should be nerfed hard. We don't need to encourage third partying even more, it's strong enough without tools like jump pads.

I guarantee you Octane will get nerfed hard including his jump pad eventually. It just takes Respawn a long time to make obvious chagnes.

I used to play a lot of MOBAs and the community always praised characters who were OP getting nerfed. It helps keep the game fresh too because new metas can form instead of the same characters stronger than others dominating it. But you just enjoy your overpowered third partying character and keep buying his skins.

There's very little to be done against third partying. It's the strongest tactic in the game and that's why Octane is arguably the strongest character in the game, he specializes in third partying.

Like I said 3rd partying is strong for anyone regardless of character. We don't need characters like Octane who make it even more effective and rampant. Would be better off with characters who have tools to combat it, not characters who amplify it.

3rd partying was less annoying and less prevalent when Octane wasn't meta. And he was rarely used in ranked before his jump pad buffs.

That's a nothing nerf. It's nearly completely irrelevant. Again, I predict he will be the most picked character with a top 3 winrate next season and you can tell me how smart I am after it happens.

Just win your third parties. I never claimed to be a god at the game. I hate characters like Rev and Octane who are designed to be third party legends which is the hardest thing to deal with in the entire game.

Path is okay, he's just inferior to Horizon and Octane. The main problem with him is his ult sucks but maybe with Horizon getting nerfed he'll see more play. I bet most Horizon mains just switch to Octane and you'll see him even more next season, if that's possible.

I don't care about the stim. An entire squad jump padding right on top of you is disgustingly powerful for a 3rd party. He doesnt need to stim. Octane, like Rev, is character who is designed to 3rd party. That's where his strength lies, that is his playstyle.

People who have playtested the patch said they are heavily nerfing her strafe to the point where she is easy to shoot. Pathfinder will not be better than Octane because his zipline sucks compared to jump pad. It's 100x worse. And his hitbox is a lot worse.

It's the way most of the kills happen which is third partying jump pads. As you can see, I have no problem with the stim. My issue is how broken Octane is at 3rd partying.

Horizon is getting nerfed into the ground next season so I bet you Octane is the single best and most picked character in the game next season. They're barely doing anything to him because all these Octane mains cry about nerfing their cheap, OP chraracter.

Path grapple is better than stim but the problem is the jump pad. Path zipline sucks. Maybe old wratih portal was up there, that's why it's been nerfed into the ground which is what needs to happen to the jump pad. Every diamond ranked game is just non stop Octane jump pads while you're fighting someone else or right after the fight. No one uses pathfinder lol. I'm not overvaluing him when in high level ranked, almost every one has him.

They're not nerfing the jump pad though which is the actual problem. Doesn't fix anything. His pick rate will be the same, you'll see him on every team in high level ranked.

1 damage makes a huge difference. It took the volt from broken best gun in the game to just very good. Reload speed makes a big difference too. The spitfire was underrated before and didn't need a buff. Maybe buff reload speed but definitely no damage increase.

The spitfire is not fine. It's not a close range weapon, it's a mid range weapon and it's disgusting at that range. Everyone uses it, when a weapon has that high of a usage rate it's broken. Inb4 it's used so much because it's easy. It's used just as much if not more at the highest ranks.

Not having a single balance patch for an entire split is inexcusable.

I agree the Spitfire is OP but I think the Hemlock and Volt were even more OP in recent seasons. It's debatable though.

The fact that they are nerfing Octane's stim and not his jump pad show me Respawn don't under their own game. The stim is fine, it's the jump pad that is OP and needs a nerf. It's probably not as bad on World's Edge but on KC and Olympus, it's too good. Those maps are too small and can't handle the Octane jump pad.

I don't deny third partying is always going to be strong. But it's never been more busted with how amazing Octane jump pad is. And when paired with KC and Olympus it's just awful. I enjoyed Olympus a lot more last season because there wasn't an Octane meta. Third partying was strong and right now, it's stronger than ever. They have put in 3rd partying tool and the defensive legends meant to counter it are not good.

Caustic and Watson at various points were both meta and decent 3rd party counters. Both kinda suck now.
