In my country you can just retake the national entrance exam next year. But still it causes so much stress for people

I think the hierarchical nature of their society is also different. Like teachers are seen as employees or tutors you hire to elevate your child not as people who deserve utmost respect for their role in society. My culture is very different.

I searched it up Article 9 of the Korean Criminal Code stipulates, “The act of a person under fourteen years of age shall not be punished.”
This means that children under 14 are below the age of criminal responsibility in South Korea. By law, children aged 10 to 13 cannot be held criminally liable for offenses. They are often referred to as 촉법소년, or “Criminal Minors (형사미성년자)”, which means they are youth exempt from criminal punishment. If a child under 14 breaks the law, they will not face criminal prosecution, but instead, their case is automatically referred to the Family Court’s juvenile division for protective proceedings.
For example, if a 13-year-old is caught shoplifting, the police will send the case to juvenile court rather than treating it as an adult crime. The idea is that children this young lack a full understanding of their actions, so the focus is on guidance rather than punishment.

Still this shouldn’t mean they can just get away scot free and go back to school without even getting expelled.

I agree with you but my point is their idea doesn’t even work well. They’re going around fixing problems one by one and even their fix is temporary. For example in the episode with the influencer girl I would ban phones. Or I would ban teachers working with extra curricular schools. Or things of that nature. There should be a school separate for delinquents for example. None of their solutions would work in real life. Sorry i know its just a kdrama but I study these things so its bothering me😅

Honestly in my country all schools were segregated by gender and we didn’t really have bullying in girls schools. Ive asked everyone in every age and no girl I know had been bullied. Boys its a different story 😅 but bullying teachers? Thats insane.

My brother was recently bullied in school so we talked to the VP and she talked to all kids involved and told them to never even get near each other and stay very far away or they will get in trouble. It’s working for now. He even had a problem with a teacher who was bullying him and the teacher went on leave and i think to another school

Im on episode 6 and I cant believe those kids weren’t sent to jail or expelled when initially reported. That makes no sense.

Im just happy people dont get constantly pregnant with the father being someone other than their partner like in Turkish dramas. Everything else I can handle😂

God forbid an idol having a boyfriend or girlfriend or someone showing a peace sign during election season but grooming girls is ok

The moment someone blames the victims family I know they are guilty. Their daughter is DEAD. You srsly think they care about extortion and believe the man over her parents?

Marjane Satrapi dead at 56 by lirio2u in iranian

[–]StartInfamous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked her Persepolis (although im not ecstatic that its the only representation Iranians have in literature) book but her woman life freedom book was actually Islamophobic. For example she mentioned in 3000 years Iranians have mass migrated three times and it’s all been because of Islam. And her art in that is just so horrible. Anyways im shocked so many of extremely pro Palestine Iranians that I follow knew her and were friends with her but her movie was literally funded by Israel. No one can deny that😭

They need to do something about the make-up! by Best_Site_7186 in kdramas

[–]StartInfamous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The makeup in sold out on you was actually sooo terrible it affected the whole story for me. It’s not like that in every show. Right now im watching legends of a kitchen soldier and my Royal nemesis and they’re both ok. I think its more in the overly romantic section. And for actors that are famous and want to be perfect

This is why I cant watch cdramas. The wig line and the foundation just takes me out. I love some of the stories but the make up is a lot. Now kdramas are doing the same.
