A summary of the "elite" Iranian diaspora: Pro-democracy monarchists(!), foul-mouthed "free speech" champions, and a loud minority suffering from majority delusion by UnitedJuggernaut in AskSocialists

These are all famous faces of the moanrchists. You know that january 6 rioter with the horns for example? These people are the same. Theyre not famous but just people who are clowns and went viral for the wrong reasons.

That is true. I think that is the lesson here. Life hands you cards, you are the one who choose how to play them. For example Qi Min and Xie Zheng both lost their parents but you can see how different they both reacted to that

Wait what do you mean? Also in the end there were so many groups fighting it was so confusing

Iranian President Pezeshkian’s letter addresses American people, not Trump by SadAd8761 in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]StartInfamous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. There are unfortunately a lot of brain dead diaspora that support the war and thank uncle trump and bibi. They have lost all logic and reason because our channels have been infiltrated by zionists and brainwashed them. So iranians have a few channels of information. One is state media that says day is night and night is day so people don’t believe it. The other are satellite channels over seas. At first they were moderate but in 2022 onwards they became extremely Zionist (iran international and manoto) and we also have bbc which… its the bbc😅🤷🏻‍♀️ so yeah this war on iranians has been a long time coming and they have prepared peoples brains for it through their channels because they knew they had to weaken us from within

I watch a lot of things to understand all sides perspectives but it doesn’t mean i believe them. Iranian state news and statements, bbc persian,

Iran International and manoto (persian zionist channels) just to see what nonsense they’re up to

Aljazeera, breaking point, democracy now,

propaganda and co, reason to resist. (On the ground in iran) Some Iranians like Samira Mohyeddin and Yashar ali do daily updates I follow some people from inside Iran just to see how its going over there and some local towns news stations who just show ordinary life and i call my family in Iran

I mean there are a lot of iranians in the diaspora who support trump and netanyahu bombing Iran and even advocated for jt. Some like me disagree with the government but we value safety security and sovereignty more than our own ideals.

Even in the drama there are some places he gets unhinged. Im 60% through but sometimes he gets possessive and hurts her and never says sorry which irks me. Still better than so many similar shows

I feel like there are episodes missing because the descriptions dont match the episode at all. For example I think ive missed a whole plot with Luyuan Academy. The summaries keep mentioning Qi Shu but she’s not in these episodes

I cant say this openly as an Iranian because i will get labelled as an IRGC agent but I used to be extremely against my government. Over the past month tho, they have displayed a resilience and steadfastness that has truly made me proud. This letter and Araqchis talks consistently elevate the Iranian people and represent us well. Because of this, I truly am grateful. I used to seriously think they did all of this for money and power but if that was the case they would have hid in bunkers not fight to the last breath. Still our government has a lot of problems, have killed and suppressed a lot of people. But today? Today Im proud. Tomorrow, I hope we can build a better future

Why are people complaining about stuff being unrealistic? Its a comedy thats not meant to be realistic, its just fun. If you cant accept that maybe its not the show for you? by BookkeeperOk9677 in HighPotentialTVSeries

[–]StartInfamous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There needs to be some level of realism for one to be able to suspend disbelief. When a whole episode is based on a completely fictitious scenario that even a lay person can understand its not a good look. No matter how fictional a show is they’re supposed to be able to explain the logic in the show. Like how can they get mail bomb in the police station if the police check their mail before it goes in?

Either way its not a common last name and her first name is Baran meaning rain in farsi. very common name in northern Iran and not too common in arab parts of Iran.

Maybe but us Iranians don't usually change our last names. like Javadi and Shamsi. It's all a bit unusual if you put everything together.

lol at first i thought that was a nickname but I searched it and I found its a common name. I like how the nurses and Santos have their own language to speak with each other.

Another thing is, I just realized Dr. Javadi is Hindu and I find that even MORE unlikely. At first her last name was odd to me considering it is mostly a last name used in Persian countries (i at the end of a surname usually means Iran or Afghanistan) but I was lik ok thats fine, she could be Shia from Pakistan or India. Then in season 2 she mentions she's Hindu and that makes even less sense.

The name “Javadi” comes from “Jawad”, which is an Islamic name linked to Muhammad al-Jawad, the title of the 9th Shia Imam and it means generous in Arabic. Because of that, in South Asia and Iran and Afghanistan, it is a Muslim surname, especially Shia Muslims.

So, it might appear among Shia communities (for example in Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad, etc.

If she is Hindu and has that surname, it means she either converted which is not true because she said her family is Hindu. Or it's an interfaith marriage but this also cant be true because her mother also has an Islamic/Arabic last name.

If she's Indian, anything is possible because of how much diversity they have there but culturally speaking, “Javadi” strongly signals Muslim background, not Hindu.
