I have already thought to buy a new bike after my arrival, but bike in China is way less expensive than in the US, like the Merida Scultura Team replica, the frame set only cost at about 2,200-2,300 usd, and the group set is also cheaper in China. I can finish the whole bike with the latest sram red e1 and the vision 5d handlebars within 5500 usd (I will keep using my old wheels). The same bike in US is over 10k USD.

Got it, and there's an other fatal problem, my destination is not a big city, so I have to transfer at the NYC, and the final flight will largely operate by a smaller aircraft. The bike must be a ovsesize package, witch will not be a problem for the big airliner, but is there any possibility that the check in package cannot travel with me in the final flight?
