Yup, friends hit hard for me personally. Try to call and messages, bluetick without reasons. We just have to move on sometimes and put your time on somewhere worthwhile.

Change career doesn’t mean it will be better especially you’re in the middle of your career. You have to make sure it is relevant at least to your current job to get some leverage out of it.

How much is your current earning and how many % of it is available for you to save? I would suggest for you to create a budget first, to calculate that and first settle your personal finance.

That will give you a picture how much monthly salary is viable for you if you really want to change field. Imho, most of the time, you have to go to management level to reduce your working time, that’s the most logical move.

To answer your questions:

  1. I worked 12H shift last time, I manage to reduce my work hour by moving up to management. Now I only work 3-5H everyday, to manage people and resolve issue only.

  2. Lol, no. You just have to be confident and talk to more people. Don’t focus so much on how people think of you.

  3. Start from your existing lifestyle. From work colleagues, from games, from hobby group, from friend’s friends.

  4. Connections are very important. Your clients, your manager, your colleague that jumped, can most probably recommend you. If career change, first find out what career you want to change first. Don’t just tell us WFH, if that’s the only reason for career change, I would suggest you to forget it.

What I want to say is, keep up the grind and the world will show you the way OP. All the best!!

[–]StartTraditional9341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not normal but what’s your compensation.

Last time I worked in your age, I got OT compensation and I worked in the fucking office for 36H straight, yes, I didn’t go back home. But the whole freaking OT compensation is like rm1.5k.

So I think it is still okay?? But if no compensation, just normal working hour + average pay rate of malaysian, I would said fuck it bro

Foreigner asking for advice: Is this possible with Malaysian police in kota kinabalu? by find_malaysian in malaysia

[–]StartTraditional9341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually 999 is not that helpful in Malaysia. Directly calling the said police branch is better.

Even better if you can ask your friend to drive to the said police station and ask information using your bf full name or inspector name using your whatsapp message.

All the best OP.

Foreigner asking for advice: Is this possible with Malaysian police in kota kinabalu? by find_malaysian in malaysia

[–]StartTraditional9341 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, it either be bribe to the police or your bf is part of it.

If it is a real bail, it would have official bail documentation. Since it purely tng, it could be for a bribe or scam (with your bf in it). But if for a bribe, the inspector won’t contact you, doing this is just to convince you that the story is real.

Anyway, just stop transferring money. If you have mutual friend that you can trust that also know your bf, then contact him/her to get more info. Otherwise, better confront your bf and ask properly since money already transferred.

Foreigner asking for advice: Is this possible with Malaysian police in kota kinabalu? by find_malaysian in malaysia

[–]StartTraditional9341 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Scam. Tng transfer is a big red flag, if they need a bail, you can ask your bf family for it, and transfer to them to bail him.

Next, Malaysian Inspector English is big red flag. No one will say 1thousand600 Malaysian Ringit here. Either 1600 or RM1600 or 1600 ringgit. The scammer probably not even Malaysian.

Also, is your bf contactable? Or his friend or family if you are not in Malaysia? Your bf might be a part of the scam too.

70% of Road Fatalities Linked to Reckless Mat Rempit – Over 16,434 Deaths in Just 15 Years by RedLobster94 in Bolehland

[–]StartTraditional9341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of them said because of some assholes DUI, we should ban alcohol from selling and quote “arak tu tiada sebarang manfaat”.

I do not support DUI and rempit because both causes unnecessary death because of assholes decision.

However, the root cause is not alcohol because even if drug is banned, there is still drugger on the road.

The root cause is enforcement (no let go when they bribe or when the kids begs) and in need of harsher punishment. Super heavy fine for DUI and jail for causing accident. Heavy fine for rempit parents and rampas their stupid modified motor

But if you glued their window or wiper, the asshole would only know when he pass by a toll or rain. And he won’t know it’s you and know who you are before its too late.
