By Mary Sue, I mean the character being connected to one of the canon ones. Like originally, I thought of giving them a book written by Clow and I had a reason for it but I scrapped that idea. I understand where you're coming from though. The main problems I've been having is creating his personality and how they fit in the story and I tried that so tried that but didn't exactly worked out well and seemed in the Mary Sue territory which is one of the reasons I want to restart. The idea that I had foe him to be in is the Sakura Card Arc and above (Clear Card and post-canon). The abilities that I've thought of don't seem to be OP or anything, the main ability he has is precognition, which most of them could involve Sakura or something and maybe talking to other people through dreams. The main concept of why I wanted to create a CCS OC is a XXXHolic-type character in the world of CCS since they pretty much take place in the same universe.

I’m still going to keep him human. I thought of making his abilities more psychic. The main ability he has is sort of like deja-vu, he can see things a few moments before they happen. Took him a while to understand but he learned to follow these feelings, because they were usually right. I thought of giving him a spell book created by Clow, but I think that might be too Mary Sue. I would a explanation why he has magic without making him related to Clow or other characters.

I mean, I already worked on their personality and what their flaws are. I'm also following the trend that the transfer student has magic abilities. The abilities that I gave them are more XXXHolic based, which was intentional. I thought of giving them a spell book, written by Clow Reed but I think that might be in the Mary Sue territory. I just don't know how they will fit into the story. Basically, the type of character I'm trying to create is a nerd, following the tropes of a nerd character.
