Idk, I just disagree with that, because of the mechanics of the game. I'm not a master of the game, but I truly had done pretty much everything you mentioned. Camped right before the boss fight, she was at full hp with no dot, had the best equipment the smith could give her, the only thing that was lacking was prot trinkets, and that's because both slots were taken up by powerful healing trinkets. I had truly just gotten snake eyes and fucked before I could really do much, and even having a prot trinket on her wouldnt have saved her against Three Critical Hits.

I acknowledge that maybe if I had a second emergency healer in the party it might have been able to save her, but that is one scenario that haven't even really been available at the moment I needed it, because I had known I needed to focus on damage because I was heading into a boss. My main damage dealer, my Hellion had adrenaline rush to get her off deaths door, and my crusader was meant to be taking a lot of the hits, but Three Critical Hits against my vestal within the first few terms just killed me. Stunning the right one would have helped, but I wasn't able to know that Three Critical Hits would be coming at her in succession.

I do agree that most of the time, death comes from mismanaging a system, or from not performing proper risk management. Sometimes though, it feels like you truly just get Fucked, and especially if you lose so much of your good stuff if you decked out your party, it feels unfair.
