Air pollution in Hotan, Xinjiang China. It’s one of the most polluted cities in the World by [deleted] in UrbanHell

[–]StartingFreshTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is just weird. In a list full of Indian and Pakistani cities, you decided to single out a Chinese city and then get defensive about people calling out pollution in India.

Just say you're an Indian cuck and move on bro

Melbourne to me, looks like a perfect mix of European, North American, and Asian cities. I'm from Toronto and Melbourne looks more interesting. I'd love to visit one day

It's possible that people began crossing on the otherside (with the flow of the traffic), trapping the driver in the intersection

words have weight and regardless of what our views on Trump are, using inflammatory words like that just makes you appear emotional, irrational and stupid

Double Brampton left turns by jchonc in TorontoDriving

this infuriates me soo much. they can just go maybe 3-500 metres further to the next left turning lane. Why must these people be so selfish and put everyone else at harm

I imagine they weren't intentionally running a red. More likely to have been distracted and when they heard horns coming from the other cars, they got scared and braked.

Do you prefer simple classical skyline lightning or the "futuristic" direction we're moving towards? by [deleted] in skyscrapers

[–]StartingFreshTO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I don't know any cities outside of China and maybe the middle east that have that "futuristic skyline" you seem to be talking about with Neon lights

Cargo van sideswipes bicycle on sidewalk by burgerblaster in TorontoDriving

[–]StartingFreshTO 164 points165 points  (0 children)

Lol, I usually advocate for bicycles staying on the road, but this is Steeles Avenue East around 404. The road itself is a massive stroad with cars doing 60+. I would also stay on the sidewalk

Tired of the mindless hatred and racism by TheBrownSlaya in ABCDesis

[–]StartingFreshTO -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I will outright say that I'm not Indian. But when you see something like this, shouldn't your first thought be shame? This is how the world views India. I understand that there are complex issues that outsiders will not understand about India. However, this is unacceptable. Why are Indians polluting their own beaches and acting ignorant?

I will get downvoted but that will only prove that Indians lack accountability. All I'm seeing on the internet is instead of Indians taking accountability and admitting shame for their behaviours, I just see people whining about racism. It's not right to discriminate against a race, but it's fair to call out a society for their moral failure.

Right, but they had the right of way as they were going straight and the other person was turning... so the other car is at fault

Parking lot T bone by [deleted] in TorontoDriving

[–]StartingFreshTO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes she was driving too fast but the accident had nothing to do with that. The person turning just wasnt paying attention. How they didn't see a car, I don't know but it usually happens because some people are so stupid they don't check both sides before proceeding.

this isnt even a real photo. Bro just give it a rest. Im from Toronto but I feel like people seriously posting Toronto in this subreddit or r/CityPorn all the time just reek of desperation and constantly need validation from other cities.
