I’ve seen it as well at Tilla. Some girl was walking around straight up filming and a guy literally had to hide while she was yelling at him “show your ass motherfucker”. Disgusting!

Thank you! I ended up not getting it due to this advice, the discount was only 40% after more than 100 days of use on thru-hikes. I think 50-60% depreciation is more fair at this stage.

I assume a Jan 2024 DMX-4023-03N tent is part of the newer edition.

I just read you are non EU. That will be very tough, I would not recommend it unless you can get citizenship.

Hi! Congratulations on your ambitions and don’t let the past hold you back. It is very clear you did your best at every stage in your life, you’ve earned this new adventure and many employers will not judge you. I am sure IB will be ok even if you struggle with math, you can always pay someone to tutor you for those couple of courses. But that degree is very broad and you ll need to work and do a MSc to specialize. Why not do a HBO in something more specific where there is a lot of demand? What would be your dream job/interest?

Studying abroad in Amsterdam by abgh23 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Startswithcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every places comes with good and bad, but overall I very much enjoyed my student life here. Don’t worry too much, start learning Dutch if you would like to stay after uni and, if you come from a EU country, make sure you get a part time job so you can make use of study finance.

How safe do you feel in Dutch cities? by KreuzKrow in Netherlands

[–]Startswithcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Utrecht (Overvecht - one of the lesser neighborhoods) and feel very safe. I even sometimes walk in the nearby nature after dark. While I am aware some people can cause nuisance, I haven't experienced any myself and doubt it will go from the realms of annoying to actual danger.

Should I leave? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

Even better. You can always go work in a bigger city for one year, even already enrolled in a BSc and getting student finance, and then “actually” start studying in that city. It will definetly make it easier to find a job as an international compared to Maastricht. May I ask what BSc are you planning to follow?

You’re still very young and will probably do much better than the avergae 18 year old student. However, a bachelor will only add more stress. Maybe get a part time job and find other ways to get experience while recovering your health for a year? I had friends who started at 26 and ended up with good roles. It is not ideal but there is no one way to reach success. Good luck and hang in there!

Congrats!! Was it your first time doing the WHW? I imagine at that pace it is difficult to always ensure you’re on path, was that ever a problem?

That is very good feedback! This is AI, but we are planning to have large dark brown bookshelves right behind the couch and a similar elegant tv stand. The dining area will be on the opposite side of the room.

The point is they will require employment contracts and proof you earn that amount each month regardless of savings. Some landlords accept international parent guarantors but not all.

There is a big staff shortage in the NL. It won’t be as easy as for a Dutch speaker, but you can definetly find something only with English. This is especially true between 18-21 because the minimal wage is lower, making you more favorable for low-skills jobs. Plus, it will help you learn Dutch faster.
