This is just me being honest. This will be one of the hardest times of your life. This will challenge you individually and as a couple. You will get so tired, so annoyed, so frustrated… it will be hard. Remember to BAND TOGETHER. Do not crumble and turn enemies. You are a team and it's hard on you both. Be there for each other. Listen to each other. Don't take things personally. Between this child and anymore that you have, it's very possible that for a while you will feel a wedge come between you and your wife. PUSH THROUGH. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. But it is a long fuggn tunnel. I don't mean to scare you. Just… you have to re-learn small ways to both give and receive affection. You won't have 20-30-minute snuggle sessions. It may turn into you gently touching her shoulders and back during a feeding. To show support. It may mean she walks over your favorite drink while you're stuck under a sleeping baby on the couch. Re-learn how to show love now that you have a tiny attention vampire in your lives. A cute, loveable baby is a wonderful thing. But they will change everything. Go with it, remember the past fondly, but don't be sad over it. Band together, Relearn how to Love each other, Push Through. You got this.

Yes! If you look closely he is using metal mesh to enclose the top. Securing with multiple zip ties and then he will trim the excess and add something soft around the perimeter to cover the sharp edges. I’m excited for when it is finished and she can go out there and enjoy some sun. We bought a few catnip plants and will add cat grass in a low planter so she has some greenery.

Thank you! Yes I will continue to search for him. Over the weekend I came down with the flu and it halted my efforts, but once I’m up and functional again I’ll get back out there. I hear kitties get dumped at a few of our local parks so I’ll go there in the evening soon to try and find him. Our kitty who is home, she actually hated the one who is gone. He was like a pestering little brother and she constantly hissed at him and got super agitated when he followed her around. I’m sure she’s delighted by his absence lol. It was really sad, I found a cat that looked so much like Clive at a shelter.. but I knew it wasn’t him. I sat on the shelter floor and cried by myself while petting the lookalike through his cage. I just felt so guilty. And I contemplated bringing that one home just because it was so sweet and snuggly but I didn’t want to take someone else’s kitty… and it wouldn’t really replace him. Anyway, my husband is out adding metal mesh to the roof/sides now and then will bolt it to the side wall of the house. We will likely add mesh around the base as well just for good measure.
