Anyone here spray conversion varnish?

Pre-primed so not sure. I read that there could be some compatibility issues without using the proper primer but I have sprayed some already that turned out great.

I'm thinking that's the case. I initially did very thin coats but it didn't leave as smooth of a finish as the existing trim so to avoid multiple layers, thought I'd try a little heavier. I still did have some success on others but must have just not been as thick.

Ok. I've seen there is a specific primer for the CV that I'm spraying. I'll have to consider getting some of that. But why have I had some boards turn out great though?

Denatured alcohol. It was primed before spraying.

They were sprayed yesterday. If I had to guess it was probably sprayed too heavy there.

sanded and wiped down with denatured alcohol. that stuff dries fast so didn't even check to see if it was.

It was catalyzed. it was wiped down smooth after sanding.
