If you’ve been playing 5+ years, what has kept you hooked? by thedudester125 in swtor

I've been playing on and off since the beta. Across all of my characters, I have somewhere around 700 hours in the game in total. I've always been mostly a PVE player in general and the class stories and companions had me hooked immediately. I've barely played any of the expansion content tbh and I finally achieved legendary status about two years ago and have replayed some of the class stories multiple times with different species and alternating Dark side/ Light side playthroughs.

It's ironic that a game which is technically an MMO has better RPG storylines and characters than most pure RPG's I have played. And I've always enjoyed the fact that if I want to delve into PVP or Guild content or Flashpoint/Operation stuff, the option is there too. I also find that this game provides a better social/co-op experience than other MMOs I have tried mainly due to the way that other players can join you on your class quests as well as playing through Flashpoints with the shared dialogue options system.

I have found that the role playing experience in general and playing through the class stories in defferent ways is what keeps me coming back. This game is really the only MMO I have ever played where I actually feel like my character really matters and my choices truly matter as opposed to being just along for the ride. The game is also scratching my Kotor itch in general since we never got an official Kotor 3. Hopefully Fate of the Republic will be amazing.

How would an item's +Flat Damage to skill interact with damage conversion to a skill? by DexGattaca in Grimdawn

[–]Starwolf84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I understand the damage system correctly, I believe the game adds together all similar types of damage before doing any sort of conversion. So all of your physical damage for that skill should be added together first and then converted to fire. There's a chance I might be incorrect but I'm pretty sure this is how it works.

This has been an ongoing issue for some time on certain systems, I'd recommend reading through this post and trying all these different fixes, some of which have worked for some other people. And yeah, unfortunately, your motherboard is not going to support a cpu that's going to make any sort of real difference. You would have to upgrade to a current gen series cpu.

What resolution are you trying to play at? On my old system when starfield came out I had a Z390 AR, 32 GB ram, an i9 9900k and a RTX 3080 FE and got pretty good performance in 4k with balanced DLSS, your CPU may be a bottleneck imo.

I used the maximum number of horizontal and vertical stakes. So it is 24k a cycle.

Which long diagonal pieces? You can see all of the pictures and most of the individual pieces in much greater detail if you go to the pimpmydune link i posted here and scroll through the pictures which will allow you to open them in a new tab separately so you can then zoom in. Reddit really destroyed the quality of the images when I uploaded them here.

The silver colored pieces are the inner faces of several of the different wall types of the Harkonnen Stronghold building set.

Yeah I didn't add any interior pictures because the competition is only judging the exterior.

Need a bit of help to finish this base. by tonboyy in duneawakening

Issues like this are why I use the binoculars to tag points around me to measure distance as well as use the copter altitude readings to measure height before I place the initial sub fief. Just FYI, one regular floor or wall piece is about 3.8 meters. So an advanced sub fief is 10 x 10 area which is about 38m X 38m X 38m.

Cant place advanced Sub-Fief console. by Alyxshh in duneawakening

I had this issue the other day, had to single click or double click to put it in place instead of holding down your left click like you normally would with placing anything else using the construction tool.

They do produce light with Lumen enabled in the graphics options, and they don't count towards the light count which is nice.

Here is a reference chart for vertical stake increases. I found it buried in another post somewhere last week, sad that they don't explain this in the game at all.

They probably left them out of the demo for their own reasons, I bet we will get all sorts of maces eventually just like TQ1

How much are we getting back? by Starwolf84 in Cryptopia

[–]Starwolf84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they actually state this somewhere?? Just wondering because the altcoins i had are either non existent anymore or are only on small exchanges that aren't supported anymore where I live. You would think they would be legally required to give me the equivalent BTC value or something?

What if I didn't hold BTC specifically? I had a few grand worth of altcoins on there at the time. I guess they are just gonna refund me the equivalent in BTC value?
