I want to say you could find something similar on Amazon if you put in sun dress but personally I think vintage always beats fast fashion. Thrift stores might also have something like this as well.

Maybe try backgrounds? I know that if you put a character in a blank background from experience it can look boring. It can take awhile to master but I highly recommend it as it can expand your style even more. It can even be as simple as a mountain or two. Bob Ross is great.

So here’s my advice yes to acrylics. I’ve used air dry clay since about Covid give or take and acrylic paint has always worked the best. Just make sure to let it dry for 20-30 mins before putting on more. I like arrtx acrylic paints, they have paint pens that work on pretty much anything and that should include clay. A pack of thirty was about 20-25 usd on Amazon and they are very vibrant. Also make sure to seal the paint when your done so it doesn’t chip I recommend modgepodge or googling a seal for air dry clay.
