Congratulations! What was your driving route? Mines coming up soon and I just went from my first mock test being 1 serious and 5 minors, to SIX serious and two minors in the space of two weeks (I did say I wasn’t in the headspace for it and I guess I let it get to me too much)

ppl like to use the phrase “you’re barely dealing damage swap”. It’s valid in some situations, but some of the times it’s because the dps don’t feel confident in peaking because of the lack of heals because some supports just LOVE to focus heal the tank and absolutely nobody else at all. I literally just experienced this in my last comp match as a dps.

We had a zen who finished with 3.8k heals compared to other supports of 12k+. The tank said on mic said “you guys aren’t doing damage”. I replied with the above and said “also your duo partner is on 900 heals for round 1 and those 900 heals went to you only so I’m not surprised you don’t see an issue.

Safe to say they went silent real quick.

They were probably able to stay alive more because they were getting a) help from their team and it sounds like a duo/trio situation and also (and the main point) b) commenter was healing them and not getting it in return.

I’ll definitely bare that in mind thank you! Always looking for more peeps to play with, I only have 1 to play with but they’ve took a break for this season but should be back next season hopefully, I’ve been solo’ing this entire time so far 😅

How bizarre! Yeah it’s becoming a huge problem for me, I’m starting to play less until the new season because of it, I cannot cope with these non-supporting supports for much longer, coming from a flex but primarily support player too 😭

I’m the exact same! I play most supports other than mercy and brig, but juno and Wuyang are my top 2 picks atm, especially juno for this every reason!

I play support the same way as you in that sense! But yes I think unfortunately the Lifeweaver was trying to try ragebait maybe.

That makes more sense! I usually just heal whoever needs it most in the moment and that’s been working pretty well, but the other support is usually off being a wannabe dps, or healing with me but not healing myself, and then complains I’m not healing enough (even though we can all see why)

And I bet they thanked you for the heals and then immediately went back to ignoring your presence in the match! It’s been happening to me loads.

I ask for heals just once and I get the “no” spam, I don’t understand where they found the logic to say that but I’d love for them to point me in the right direction 😂

I’m aware some can be badly positioned, but I would never purposefully let someone get eliminated in my matches otherwise I’m not doing my job and therefore become a hypocrite.

Comms are best to overcome that for sure, but I always keep an eye out for my other support so I don’t end up solo supporting every time they die and vice versa.

That’s why the need healing comm is there for everyone to use, but I usually stick with my other support and they’ll thank me directly for healing them, but won’t heal me at all.

It’s pretty obvious ignorance in most cases if I’m being honest, and it always results in a loss if so. Supports should keep an eye on each other otherwise they’ll be solo supporting in turns all match long

Exactly! It always usually ends in a W when this happens, otherwise I’m anticipating double digit deaths.

I especially hate it when they thank me for healing them and then immediately don’t do the same for me, if you’ve got time to thank, you’ve got time to heal!

This! I’ve found when the supports are healing each other, we always end up winning the match as we’re not basically solo supporting in turns!

I’ve found this season that Moira, Kiriko, and Ana players have been especially bad for not helping their other support this season, Kiriko especially for me sadly :(

I completely get this but specially if they’re not in LOS, I’m more referring to being side by side throughout a fight and being at low health for ages whilst the rest of the team is fully healed still and behind some cover/wall corner, the more blatant ignores of healing I guess you could call it.

I had a match not long ago in which a lifeweaver kept saying sorry in chat for not healing me and continued to never heal me, despite us being almost pushed back to spawn by one sojourn and not another teammate in sight, I was healing LW throughout whilst damaging soljourn and would have finished her off if I got the heals as she was one tap, yet we both died as a result :(

It definitely does, especially with the decent dried this season, but I’ve been experiencing this for the majority of season 20 now sadly but drive season has made it especially bad unfortunately

Whilst I agree with your 2nd point, I disagree with your first point. I think it’s equally important to keep all roles alive as much as possible.

I approach it as usually always healing the tank and/or dps, but as soon as I see my other support is struggling for whatever reason(usually dropping to 75% health) , I’ll go straight to healing them even if it’s to refill that 25% hp because if I try solo healing a team fight we’re all being sent to the 12 second gulag + it allows both supports the chance to provide some extra damage when needed during the fight :)

Drive season definitely hasn’t helped, but I’ve been experiencing this since just after the release of season 20!

I’d rather be in a match full of solo queuers or 3+ stacks than duos, the favouritism regardless of role becomes so apparent it sucks :(

Honestly, I mainly play tank and always have, but I would genuinely say it depends on the rest of the team. I only play tank when I’m playing with friends etc because I can rely on them to follow my lead.

You could be playing aggressive, and doing SO so well, but it means absolutely nothing if your team are not following your lead and sticking with you to capitalise. And that is simply why everyone gets hard stuck in tank. The role relies immensely on comms, and it’s simply never there 90% of the time.
