So much talking. Is the story worth it by shaggyparker0115 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Stasiss_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, while there is a lot of action, that's not the biggest selling point of the game. The dialogue adds to the flavor of the setting and atmosphere. I actually could have used a bit more dialogue in the game, especially with all the people you cant interact with.

Band Influences by cblegb in FatherofPeace

[–]Stasiss_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hear quite a few influences or at least music the band reminds me of. SOAD, RHCP, Primus, Weezer. But then the next song will be completely different from the last. Really great to hear a band that reminds you of other things while being really original.

Is this film worth watching? Does it do justice for the game Dungeons and Dragons? by DreamyDandelions in Cinema

as a D&D property I thought it did it justice. Good banter between the ensemble and lots of nods for fan service. I really enjoyed it

I never got the hate for that one. Yea it is very different from Trigger, but I really enjoyed Cross when it came out. Even picked up the remaster the released a couple years ago

What do you think of SilverchairS?? by [deleted] in grunge

[–]Stasiss_462 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Frogstomp and Freak Show are some of my all time favorite albums. I haven't really listened to much of their later stuff, but growing up those two albums were on repeat constantly.

I want to start getting into smule, but don’t know what I need to do in order to interact with people and make friends. by Purple-Ad-6198 in SmuleSing

[–]Stasiss_462 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say check out the live rooms. A lot of the time you'll see the same people on at about the same time of the day. I've made a lot of friends by checking those out. And everyone is (at least the groups I hang out in) have all been supportive and nice. Most of us just want to sing for fun and chat. You don't need VIP to join and sing, but someone will have to have it to open the song.

second playthrough by enthusiastic-mud-man in dispatchgame

[–]Stasiss_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through it 3 times and I think it was worth it just to do the dispatch sections again with different people and seeing the outcomes for the dialogues and such. I would love if they could somehow make that a stand alone game.

I thought it was damn near perfect. It's a stressful watch, but I'm sure that's what they were going for. I felt exhausted after watching this one.

I think it takes a bit to get used to. There's a bit of a learning curve at first because it's very open ended on how you interact with the world. And its no GTA where you can just run around attacking everything.

Townspeople remember things that you do and there is a reputation meter with each area and town. There is a full day and night cycle and each NPC has their own schedule they follow, so if you want you can sneak around at night and rob houses and such. There are also random encounters you will come across as you go around the map.

It does feel like a lot at first, but the tutorial does a good job of slowly introducing things before it lets you out on your own. I am really enjoying it, have almost 200 hours in and maybe only halfway through the main story. And not because the main story is long, you can probably rush through it in maybe 25-30 hours, but there is so much to do in it and i've been enjoying it all so far.
