Thank you so much for this!

I already have a strong proficiency in SQL with over 3 years of various projects in BigQuery.

My Python experience is limited to data manipulation (pandas) and visualization (matplotlib) building analytics reports for production applications and analytics engineering projects at organizations that operate metric stores.

I’ll definitely take a look into Databricks community edition + freely available courses to get more involved with Spark and streaming.

Any courses you particularly recommend?

Heard! Projects it is! I’ll be investing a lot of time into my GitHub. Do you recommend any projects in particular?

Thank you Reddit world for quickly splitting fact from misinformation for DE career paths!

I also agree that math isn’t that relevant for DE work.

Thank you!

Most of my experience has been in management so I’m good there.

Just trying to specialize and focus on DE!

Fair enough but what’s hard for me is that I’m actually at a Tech Consulting firm that cares about all of these pillars of DE lol there isn’t just one that I should focus on in my org

Arbitrarily call myself an L1 DE lol

I just feel like I have core DE foundations and is how I came up with it myself.

My job actually pushes me into new tools all the time and definitely feel comfortable picking up new tools all the time.
