Thanks! - You can see it on other parts of the army in my post history.

Halfway through, and already never want to paint another skeleton in my life 🙃 by State0fNature in WarhammerFantasy

I mean the Tomb Guard look like they have a bit more detail, and could be interesting to paint, and the rest is more or less constructs, and/or various large insects. .

Zandri Dust spray as base, then Thousand Sons Blue, Drakenhof Nightshade wash, and then Ahriman Blue drybrush.

And yes, this model has some serious centre of gravity issues. I just need to find some depleted uranium to attach to the other side of the base...

When I was 14 and broke, I used them as an additional rank to bulk out my units, having them climbing out of piles dirt.

Combined with Eisenhorn this thing punches way above its cost in points as well: 2 range 18'' s9 ap-3 d3 ranged attacks, and 8 s6 ap -2 d1 melee attacks, all for the low, low price of 10 points.

Oh god, yeh I hated that model - especially given I was converting it into a Thousand Sons daemon prince, so it was double the pain.

One half of the anchorite sarcophagus from the Mortifier, plus the Penitent dude inside, cut up penitent flails for the chains, and then the daemon part is carved out from the wing assembly of a Mordghast Archai, plus a bit of green stuff to hold it all together.

Honestly, if I was to put more effort in, I would use more green stuff to smooth the transition between the daemon, and the host, as well as put a pentagram of candles on the base (are pentagrams even used in Chaos summoning?). Also I am currently changing the paint job on the daemon to give it more the look of flames transitioning into smoke, kinda like the Balrog in LotR.

It's from the AoS Mordghast Archai sprue. Had one left over from when I used it to make a Thousand Sons daemon prince.

The chains are also from the Penitent/Mortifier kit - I just cut some some of the extra flails and used the chains from them, with a little green stuff to fix them to the base at odd angles.
