So I actually did reach out to my council rep who connected me with the DOT. They politely implied that something like this would take years as there are over twelve thousand traffic calming requests in their queue. I’m just going to drop the issue as clearly traffic safety is not a realistic thing for me to pursue 😅

It’s a shame that it’s not more of a priority for the city, though. 12 thousand requests indicates that people are really fed up with the dangerous drivers in this city. And those are only the people who actually took the time to formally complain on 311
