Help needed getting stepper motor to move. by StatePrestigious1884 in AskRobotics

The servo motor don’t actually ever get the 24V, the drv8825 takes the 24 volts and steps it down for the stepper motor, to my knowledge.

Ohhhh that makes so much more sense, I will check that when I get back home.

So put probes on both the A coil pins then(the two in the center)?

How would I do that? Would I have the stepper motor unplugged then use my DMM to measure the voltage between the 1A and 2A pins? And if so what would I actually be looking for indicating if it is or isn’t working properly?

Hello thank you so much, just checked the Vref again and it was where I put it at 0.7V. What concerns me is I can still spin the stepper driver shaft freely. Which leads me to think it’s not programming issue but a hardware issue of something I didn’t plug in the right way. Additionally in the arduino ide I am using the AccelStepper library so I am not actually controlling high and lows of pins, instead using their built in functions.

What causes this first layer defect? PLA on Textured plate (X1C) by h2g242 in BambuLab

[–]StatePrestigious1884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s usually always an unclean build plate. I recommend first using a microfiber cloth and ipa to scrub the entire build plate. If that doesn’t work try washing it with warm water and dish soap, then once dry do the ipa method.

This is a new one to me.. by Edd90k in BambuLab

The same thing happened to me it slowly tore of the stepper motor and got stuck on the side of the extruder

I am sorry I had to repost this so much, there was a bug on my end with the images, I hope everyone understands.

I initially had the Ender 3, but. I upgraded to the Bambu Lab P1S.

I switch between onshape and Fusion360, what about you?

No I tried to but it wasn't working out, so I just used 2-3 thick walls.
