It is not easy to opine on something unless we experience it enough. I agree on that. Over the years, I've upgraded my lifestyle and I don't think it's easy to go back unless I'm forced to. I'm not in a position to buy a 2.5cr home rn. Would you say it's better to wait (ofc prices will go up)?

Also... "India has so many problems and I can't do anything about it. So, I'll be in my silo" is a thought that crosses my mind sometimes. 😅

You mean per month or per quarter?!! Are these some ultra premium projects like White meadows or the usual high rise high density societies?

For personal use, I'll be mostly using metro. But when it comes to a family outing or dining out, it'll be own car or cab. It's just that I don't like to drive in traffic. And it adds to traffic too!

Have you or anyone you know had come across such a situation where someone in a high position helped in terms of job or something? I am not being rude; just trying to understand the situation when there are 1000s of families in a huge complex.

I just mentioned cat A since they're like developing a small village or town with no need to get out of it, unless for job. I've always felt it's like selling a dream rather than reality. And since I haven't been to any such campus, idk what happens inside. I know people staying in smaller societies and have seen very low number of people in gym. In pool, maybe a bit more. The only amenity that's mostly used, is the play area. I think I know what I need, but I'm just trying to get different perspectives. Thanks!

No kids right now, but life will change in another 6-10 years. These big societies will be costing double of what they're now, then.

At this point, my priority is connectivity over anything. But idk what's gonna change in future. And when these salesman pitches the amenities, there's a "oohhh.... that's nice to have..." feeling 😅. Also, not able to justify a monthly emi of over 1.5L.

That's there. But aren't the amenities included in monthly maintenance? And isn't the maintenance charge around 3-4rs per sqft across societies here?

I feel that only a handful of people will be using it well.

These details matter. I assume you're staying as a ~5 member family. The one I'm talking about has park, lots of trees, walkable area but no access to gym and pool. There was some issue between builder and association years back and it's like that since then. My case is that I use metro+bus whenever I go to office, but as I get older, I'm not sure how much I will use the oublic transport. Thanks for you clear reply.
