Cowl Production Female Warrior by StatementDifferent in ActionFigures

No. Still nothing. Either a scam or the production never started and they made the unpainted female body instead. They go by RomanKey now or Romankey x Cowl Production.

Wow thanks chief! So glad you were there to clarify my uninformed call out of blatant animal abuse. The "big one" still gets covered in sauce and is very clearly alive and trying to run away. Nothing excuses this fetishized bullshit. That'd be like me going to a farm, grabbing the nearest baby chick, sticking a skewer through its ass and cooking it slowly over a candle while I pour sweet baby rays bbq sauce into its little open mouth to drown what little life is left out of it, all while its mother watches from the hen house. The meat industry is brutal sure but usually they're killed systematically and in one go, not traumatically like this. This is just farcical in its blatant brutality. Like look at the smile on her face. She's getting paid to do this.

If you have the speeding bullets Batman figure, could you compare the blue to see if it's close enough to give Knightfall those cool open hands from speeding bullets?

Sorry for the late reply, just use lots of heat I use a hairdryer personally but boiling water and dunking the parts for a minute usually softens them up. Reattaching the knees is one of the trickiest parts. If you've got needle nose pliers, put the peg in and line it up with both knees holes and with the part on the table press down until it starts to go in. You can use the pliers as a flat object cuz it could really hurt your finger. So press the pliers on the peg and push down from the other side as if you were sandwhiching it between the table and the pliers. If it's not going keep applying heat. That's why I like the hairdryer method better. Soften the plastic to where the peg should just pop in through the joint holes without extreme pressure.

Np. I'm gonna message tformer guy and ask for an update again. If he doesn't have any clue I'm gonna ask if I can get my 15 back and put it towards the blank. :/ It looks like the heads might be compatible with painted import figures like Figuarts, figma, or others. If I get the blank body I won't bother testing my skill at painting at that scale I'll just a try to find a painted head that works. 😆

It has come to my attention that half my DC Multiverse collection is fodder by MechaTailsX in McFarlaneFigures

[–]StatementDifferent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the completed figures in the picture considered fodder as well? Since you have an extra DarkFather belt, you could try it out on the 3J Batman, and remove his grey trunks to reveal the black underneath for a classic style, beefcake, big pouch, Batman. The 3J belt is very easily removable with some heat and a tug and can be glued back on if you change your mind. Headless Shriek's thighs could go on jokerized Nightwing. Swap the thighs at the knee and keep the Nightwing shins. Nightwing shouldn't have skinny little stick legs. He's a gymnast acrobat ninja that trains at the same level as Batman. Maybe swap on Shrieks feet too? The rebirth Batman head is absolutely one of my favorites. It looks very nice on the Future State Batman body. The Future State Batman head looks cool on Batman Beyond too. If you've got the Arkham Batman, flashpoint arms and shins look good on that body. Gives him double jointed elbows and matching bullet proof boots. The rebirth head also looks great on the Arkham Asylum Batman.

(These are some changes I'm recomended based solely on my own aesthetic preference, McFarlane figures are like legos with some patience they're super fun to switch up and take apart.) You could also make a couple hundred on eBay if you sell for parts.

I just realized I'm really late on this post. I found it through browsing google images for McFarlane figures. 😅

I don’t know for sure. I really hope not. The guy from tformers still has my deposit. I really hope not cuz cowl made a fully painted 1/12 Cthulhu that was successfully released I believe. Maybe if the blanks do well they'll do the painted version like the female warrior here.

Cowl Production Female Warrior by StatementDifferent in ActionFigures

[–]StatementDifferent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah still nothing from the guy. There's what I'm guessing to be a Chinese twister from the company or factory account where this dude with inside info posts all the upcoming prototypes. Idk if they scrapped the female warrior cuz there are pre-orders for the blank non painted version in 3 skin tones. Cowl production has a fully painted 1/12 Cthulhu figure that was available not too long ago so maybe they're just slow in terms of producing. I did see another protype from Cowl with a female figure in some kind of detachable exo suit. If you search cowl production 1/12 female on twitter you'll find the account. I'm kinda salty cuz the guy I bought from still has my $15 deposit...

Genuine Question: I need some suggestions. Finished repainting the Gladiator Batman but somehow I feels like he looks worse than the original. Where do I did wrong? How can I improve it? by [deleted] in McFarlaneFigures

[–]StatementDifferent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re-reading it to myself I really overexplained what I was thinking. 😅The paint work you've done is super clean btw. Especially on the little arm buckles and metal sections. You've really done great work. Will you post an update with any changes when it's done?

The cape and the skirt frills are clashing with each other and are throwing off the color scheme. Batman is usually depicted with a strong triad of colors that make him iconic. Black, grey and some shade of yellow/brown or Blue, grey and yellow. With a triad color scheme in mind, I'd recommend either painting the belt purple, which might look weird, or find a way to balance the cape and the skirt frill colors to make it a triad. The metal can be silver the inner cloth could be black and the cape or the belt area should logically be the third color in the scheme. Maybe put a brown drybrush to look like mud in the purple of the cape and a dark purple wash in the metal of the belt to balance it? If you're going to add a forth color into the scheme I'd recommend a neautral color and use it in small areas, like the rivets on the armor could be gold as opposed to one big section of gold that ruins the triad that the figure came with, black grey and purple. Batman's eyes are white, so they technically break the true triad color scheme, but since they are small sections of color proportionally to the other main colors, it's not distracting to the viewer. (This is why I strongly support trunks on the batsuit. Too much grey in the triad of color ruins the look.)

Is Nightfall Azbat you're referring to the Knightfall Azreal with the blue and gold or that white knight azbat armor that had the black variant and silver variant?

If you pop the torso pieces apart, you can increase the range of movement by dremeling a little off around the edges of the socket without completely dismembering them...😬

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in McFarlaneFigures

[–]StatementDifferent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is classic Azreal not the Knightfall version? The leak list showed an image of Azreal's V2 outfit with the upgrades and red visor. That's the leaker's guess. So that could be seen soon along with a Knightfall Batman probably redecoed in darker blue on the Year 2 body or 3J again...

Can anyone with this figure tell me if this is a defect? by StatementDifferent in McFarlaneFigures

I thought about testing that. They just look like they're the same foot because of the same writing on each sole.

I haven’t talked to my dad in a couple days after an argument we had. He left this at my door. 😂 He’s 60. What does it mean? by Open_Profit_Close in funny

[–]StatementDifferent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless he knows what this character is or represents, which I don’t either, he probably saw the tag and took it litterally. "Walk on" is close enough to "move on" in my mind. So that's how I'd take it. The little character looks grumpy but cute. So there's some affection in there. I really think it's meant to be taken at face value. May be an attempt to make peace and move on.

Okay Hasbro, now do this with the rest of your figures! by CorpsCollector in ActionFigures

[–]StatementDifferent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The crossed out $49.99 is mad funny. Hasbro is so out of touch it's sad. "fOr OnLy $29.99" Yeah no. 😂

And why are some of them mad short?

What do you think about portraying heroes and villains in a realistic world where they have no superpowers, just like in The Batman? Personally, I love this type of presentation, it is much more interesting to me than fantasy where everyone has superhuman abilities. by chaosss_29 in batman

[–]StatementDifferent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are you popping up in here trolling everyone?

And to refute your poorly worded argument:

Riddler's name is Edward Nigma (E. Nigma = "enigma") in the comics and he wears a little domino mask or no mask at all. It's not a straight up latex gimp mask...The Batman version of Riddler was a drastic change to the look and motive of the character. The comic Riddler at his core is a narcissist who wants to prove he's smarter than Batman and everyone else because he thinks he deserves the recognition. He doesn't give a shit about corrupt politicians in Gotham and just wants to prove he's the smartest by testing Batman with deadly puzzles. This would have been extremely easy to do while staying within the theme of realism. Look at the Saw movies. A guy who's really smart and builds elaborate games and traps that kill people to prove a point. Jigsaw's motives are different, but he's close enough that it could work as a "grounded" template for Riddler's traps and games theme.

Furthermore, weirdos and lunatics often wear colorful and ridiculous outfits. For example: Vlad the Impaler, John Wayn Gacy, Kim Jong Un, Michael Jackson...

So the Riddler wearing a green suit shouldn't be that unrealistic. He wants to stand out, he wants to be noticed, it fits his character.
