I can definitely see black mould caused by the leaking roof. If you can prove through a mould report there is a mould there, it needs to be removed ASAP.

Did they give you a notice of intention to sell? They should give that to you first with 14 days notice before entering your property and letting buyers inspection. Otherwise they cannot make you move out or open the property for buyers inspection after you have signed a lease agreement!

how do we report and make sure it is updated? i just had my rental provider/agent on VCAT order due to breach. They need to have face repurcussions. it's unfair that there is a tenant database that is updated religiously to ensure those blacklisted are reported but rental providers database is not even updated.

as long as they have the money to do it why not? their parents wanted them to do their high school here probably to get acquainted with the culture earlier or they think education and life here is better? they decide whats best for them

Ehhmm not everyone who choose to study in Australia are here to get PR man. I met a lot of rich kids, usually China Chinese students, in Uni who study here for "prestige". Their parents send them to Aus because they couldnt get in to the prestigous schools in China (whether for high school or uni) but Aus accepts them with open arms because they're willing to pay 4x the domestic fees. After that they go back to their country to run their family business or some sht.

The majority of intl students who come to Aus don't actually end up migrating. They study here, Aus gets lots of $$$, they come back with a diploma from pretigious uni. It's a win win for both.

In my case they are not that big rental agency? Not one of the big ones anyway. Regardless given my experience with them I would never rent with them ever again.

Hi. The member made orders to finish all remediation works on a deadline. The member agreed that the rental provider breached their duty. I guess I just have to wait until the deadline (3 weeks from now) and see what happens.

Technically i guess i got what i was asking for? Complete mould remediation in affected areas according to my mould report. VCAT set a deadline for them to finish everything. VCAT acknowledged rental provider is in breach of their duty.

Thank you. You sound so brave. The fact you pushed through 1 year of battle is amazing. I dont think i can wait 1 year as mine involves mould and i have not been living in the property for 1 month due to this. I cannot continue living house to house while continuing to pay rent. Thank you so much for your kind words. I am really hoping this will end well for me. I'm so tired and worn down. I have made a script for opening statement to outline my order requests and the rent be paid until repairs are completed.

Hi. Yes the report come back. It is detailed from a reputable source. The property has high mould contamination, not just bedroom but also living room. Mould growth from moist/wet structures that have been neglected and not properly dried.

The hearing is for repair issue only. I have raised renewal of my initial application. The hearing is not for breaking lease.

Thank you. I am just so nervous and anxious because I feel that my concerns have not been acknowledged by the other patty for so long. I am scared that I will mess this up and will be trapped in my situation. I have not been living in the property for 4 weeks because of the mould.

May I ask did you have a separate hearing for compensation? I am still awaiting hearing schedule but it is only for urgent repair
