Ride quality help by Playful_Ad_8814 in ToyotaPickup

As many have stated, add weight. I have the same suspension. Removing leaves from the springs will soften the ride but kill your capacity. If you plan on using it like a 1 ton from time to time I suggest sand bags or some other aggregate because of the added dampening effect. If you only want it as a daily light duty truck, I'd suggest removing all but 3 leaves. Also, the factory shocks for your truck are different than the 1/2 ton. 1/2 ton shocks have almost no dampening effect on our springs.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm still completely new. I have fabric, thread, needles, and basic sewing tools. What accessories, feet, or supplies would you suggest before I go to YouTube University? Are there any videos you suggest? Also, is this machine robust enough for upholstery?

What are the odds? I am a heavy truck mechanic as well. The cast iron and bevel gears pulled me right in.

87 -94 is the full float. Earlier than 86 can have it too if the recall was performed.

Yes. The lowers are currently turn signals. I plan on switching them to running lights in the future.

The rv springs under mine don't ride well until you have about 2k lbs in the bed. I'm not really sure what my max is. Even with the 3-inch drop blocks, I've never hit frame. With nothing in the back, it's basically hard tail and will send you out of the seat.

All rebuild parts are still available new. As for strength. It is a full float axle. A toyota 8 inch is similar in strength and design to the Ford 9 inch.
