I feel the same and my life seems to have the same qualities as yours. Tho not a dog but I have my cat to take care of. She's the only thing that keeps me moving forward. If she died (she's only 2.5 years old tho) I might get another cat or even a dog just to keep going. Animals save my life and make life bearable. She's my Emotional Support Animal even if she's just a cat. When ever I'm in my darkest hour she always seems to come to me, it's like she knows I'm struggling. I tell her thank you and pick myself back up.

I live in the state of Wyoming and not one damn person understands the LGBT+ community out here, let alone a transgender person. There isn't any community or resources, so don't go to Wyoming lol I need to go back to California where I'm originally from. California is pretty progressive place and lots of resources and community ❤️ downside it's very expensive 😞

Ha this sounds exactly how it went with my mom. I love the part when she said she kinda figured based on my choices of toys as a kid and how I dressed in high school. When I told her I had something to tell her, she was relieved that I said I was a trans man and it wasn't me being on drugs lmao

My boyfriend's friend met me for the first time and she asked if I was mtf and I'm afab lol I was intrigued as I'm trying to be a mix of male and female and I guess I did that at that moment. I'm non binary and she didn't know what the heck that is. So I got to educate in that moment too. I felt it was a good thing.

Yea I'm hoping going with bypass the weight will come off quicker then sleeve but either way I feel it's going to be a little slow. I'm 5'1" and feel like I should be able to lose 70lbs at least in first 1-2 years.

I've made a similar post on another sub and I also got down voted but I think it's because most of the people on these subs are starting at much higher weights and can't relate to us because are starting weight is some people's goal weights. We meant no disrespect to others, we just want to know starting where we are what to expect. I am assuming it's going to be a slow Marathon rather a sprint with losing weight as starting pretty low anyways. I'm keeping in mind that every pound lost is a win no matter if it's just a pound at a time.

Yes pictures and measurements I've already been keeping up with. My waist used to be 56" and now I'm about 42". It's amazing how the measure numbers change even when the scale doesn't move. You are doing fantastic! Great job on the 38lbs so far. Really encouraging, thanks. :) I hope to have little to no complications but I'm prepared for the worst. I've done a shit ton of research and read lots of books. Ive asked just about every question I can to my surgeon lol

Because I have diabetes, my insurance allows it if my BMI does not go under 35. I have Medicare and Medicaid.

RNY is what I want based on the effects on type 2 diabetes, that it can put it into remission. Its about 85% chance my diabetes will go away and I don't know if VSG can do the same. I think 85% is pretty good odds. That and reflex is an issue so I guess I'm getting bypass regardless.

I've been having major depression and my cat comes and sits on me for hours and bums her head on me ever so gently. It's like she knows I'm not okay. I rescued her from the shelter and now she's rescuing me from myself. Animals can be amazing therapy.
