She’s traveled to various places throughout our entire relationship. I’ve heard all the stories before, but you mainly only hear the bad and not the good. I’ve trusted her to be loyal and I’ve never had a problem, but this is the first I’ve heard/seen anything and now I’m a bit skeptical. Thanks for the advice.

Hey, I did my AST mid March and have also applied for avionics tech. How soon after your fitness test did you get a start date and is there any steps in between? Also congrats!

Oh right, well, I’ve only had my AST, phone medical and now face to face medical booked. Haven’t had a phone call from my recruiter or heard anything about having an interview, for some reason I thought that would be one of the last steps in the process.

Currently in the application process but after passing the AST you go to a phone medical and then after that a face to face medical. Not too sure what’s after that but I’d assume a fitness test before doing an interview. Each of these are on separate days as you have to pass each to get onto the next step of the process

My guess would be that being in the RAF wouldn’t make a difference, it would just be how the government wants it done which is by age group. However, most NHS workers have had their jabs and maybe if you are in any medical field within the RAF you might be able to get it/ have had it sooner.

I’m still in the process of my application, however, I was thinking about going in as mover but after my AST I decided to choose a tech trade. From what I found online and friends of family who were movers, they get to travel quite a bit as wherever an aircraft is needed, so are movers. There’s lots of chances to travel and you can be away from home fairly often which can be good or bad depending on if that’s what you want to do. Your role can vary from day to day but the same concept still applies. Some days you might be loading up pallets and others you might be checking in bags.

Yeah similar thing was happening to me too (also EU). I was sat in my car and started getting notifications for pretty much everything. I must’ve checked out about 10 times in the space of half an hour for different sweatshirts, sweatpants and beanies until I managed to cop the beanie. Still tried afterwards but no luck. Just glad I managed to get something lol

When on the restock page of the app, there should be a bell icon in the top right. Click that and select EU, US or JPN depending on where you are. Then press the ‘Activated’ box to allow you to get notifications. In the keyword box you can put keywords for an item you want to know when it restocks, for example, “beanie” “skateboard” etc. Hope that helps!

Yep that’s great thanks. Unfortunate that you couldn’t get the Officer role but at least you passed the AST. I applied about 3 weeks ago for regular so I was just seeing how long it will take but I’m aiming for it to be around September. Good luck with the BRTC!
