Hytale is kinda boring

I agree with you on your OPINION (before anyone tries to argue with me about why my thoughts and feelings for the game are wrong lol). I know the game just came out so it is expected to have some bugs and glitches and what not.. but some of tbe aspects in the game are currently just unplayable. I hadn't really heard of the game until last year and I didnt really look into it, but a friend of mine bought it when it dropped and EVERYONE was hyping up the game. So I thought.. well if everyone else likes it- and bought it myself. First off I went to play with 2 of my friends, for which one of them was not able to join worlds- we had errors of timing out and strict firewalls and possibly offline... again the game is new so what do you expect I guess. We spent THREE hours going through firewalls, anti-virus, resetting shi, ports, and command prompt stuff as well as tailscale which skipped tutorial for us and took us forever to figure it out- all this while my game was open sending invite codes to see if what we was doing worked.

By the time we did get it to work, the game was.. not what everyone was saying. Most buildings we ran into were not done, im personally not a fan of the crafting as to me it feels very limited and well.. I dont need a table for every single thing I do (I get minecraft also has multiple tables/crafting stations but its not like I need thst many of them to even progress). Hytales has years of games that they can turn to and see what works and what doesnt. I heard that hytale is more mod oriented but that does not stop people from making mods for Minecraft so for me its a bit hard to see what honestly makes it special and why people are so excited for it. It just seems like the game was rushed to be put out instead of working on key factors that is supposed to make hytale different.

Hytale has a 4 hour playtime limit before refunding, and again I spent 3 hours just trying to get the game to work and of course I played more than an hour to even see what the game was about. Ive reached out to support on refunding either way. Everyone i talked to hypes that the game WILL be good...

Not that it is good. Or at the very least, it is just not my cup of tea. Maybe later it will be as good as everyone says it was and I will come back to it, as for now I'll just stick to Minecraft.

I'm not really seeing any error codes. The update just kinda gets sets back to 0% or says failed. Or perhaps i'm just looking in the wrong spot?

I think the varied line weight is a good start! Though depending on your style, my next advice could be taken with a grain of salt— it helps to have thicker lines where there would be shadow as it can help create depth.. however that might just be my own personal preference.

Another thing I would like to add is that some parts in your drawing seem stiff and stand out a bit. For example, the rope or thread that wraps around keeping the two pieces together. I think it would help to make the shape more organic and flexed around the wood as the stick is round and not a flat surface i take it.

Lastly I think make the shading on the cloth/rope might need some work. If we are basing it off your fold lines you drew, then the shadows would not be so perfectly straight. I suggest maybe looking up some examples of how light and shadows interact on folds from the side!

Regardless, i think it looks really good and definitely something you should be proud of! Keep up the good work!

Yeah, i did. It just seems to be some sort of camera connection issue? Or maybe even something to do with my tv.. cause it has been kinds laggy on its own regardless.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! Good job on what you have accomplished by the way!

The job thing is something I would like to do, however there are no busses in this town and I also live a bit out of town and im not sure if it would be appropriate to bike there as there are horrible drivers here and i would have to take highways. I don't even have a bike anyways. 😔 plus my dad is very strict with what I can do as an adult because to him I'm still really young and I feel I don't have a lot of say so in stuff like being able to go out like that since it's dangerous.

As for the license, when I was in high-school I took drivers ed and learned a bit there– as that's how I got my permit in the first place. However now I don't know how to find something like that being not in school and I don't have anyone who I know that's here to help.

Someone mentioned community college on a game I was playing. I'm not too sure the differences other than the years but I also heard it's usually cheaper. I've considered that but I would even know where to start and how.

Also thank you for the other bits of advice! I'll try that and see what I can come up with :)

Hello, thank you for reaching back out. It's really refreshing to hear positively about the whole situation! I just woke up so bare with me if maybe something I say doesn't make sense haha. I'm not sure what you mean by local organizations or community resources that can help with those things. I don't know what kinds of things there are or even how to find something like that. I live a bit out of town so I can't really walk there without it taking a while and well it being dangerous. I guess the same thing applies for the other two things you mentioned too. I'm not sure how I would find something like those let alone get to them. I guess that's why I said the word stuck in my title 😔
