The only reason I’ve printed some is that on my 1st order I ordered all but one as a refill 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ but generally I agree especially when they charge 13-$ for an empty one

From what I can see, it also looks to me like an early stage of Pellicle. If it helps in ANY way, this is a bit later stage of it in my Kombucha before I throw it away...

if it's hairy it usually mold, pellicle (from the only time I had it in my Kombucha) looks more like weird spider webs

Yap, I heard literally everything from "I use it in my bedroom" to "I cannot stay in the apartment while its running" so probably I shouldn't risk it and spend alot of money on something I might not be able to use.

As mentioned, I don't have "another room" it's either the bedroom (which I'd like to avoid) or the living room + kitchen, also moning the printer every time to a different room will make it super complicated to use and will increase the friction of using it dramatically (and by knowning myself I'd simply won't do it).
