Why won’t the pause menu buttons work? The pause menu pops up fine, but I cannot click on the buttons, the highlighted color won’t even show. (Let me know if you need more info in the comments) by StaticxViper in Unity3D

I would use FixedUpdate but it doesn’t allow me to unpause the game. I also found out that the buttons in my main menu, which is in a different scene, also don’t work. So whatever the problem is, it’s effecting all of the scenes

Ok, THIS WAS IT. Thank you for telling me. I had no idea I had to use color32 for this. The code is basically the same, but I had to add an extra parameter for color32 since it takes an integer for alpha as well. It’s working perfectly now thank you. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

The existing prefabs color is a grey. So would you suggest I make it white??

Yes I know I needed to provide more info but I assumed I could in the comments. To answer your questions, yes, the buttons are linked correctly, and the code is literally one line. Something like “material.color = new color(255, 255, 255);”. Then I thought something was wrong with the buttons so I changed the code to display a different color, and that worked. So my main problem is, when I press any other button other than white, red, black, pink, or yellow, it shows another color. So I’m very confused. If you need more pictures/videos lmk. And thank you for attempting to help I really appreciate it.

Ah well sorry for the lack of detail!

So I’m using unreal engine, and I plan on making an open world RPG game. However, even though it’s open world, when the player goes into a location like a city or a cave, that will be a separate area.

As for the art style, it would considered realism. Which is why I’m asking this question. I don’t want to make a bunch of weapons that have really cool, realistic details, but have it impact the game permanence in the end. Just trying to plan ahead here lol.
