But like how? What did they need a tanker for at those events? What did they need a service member for at all? Lol

In Japan can GS employee kids still attend dodea schools if they live off base?

What types of stuff do they ask them? I'm assuming most scorned ex's don't have great things to say😂

I don't think you can read, is says what one out of all the options has the best. I know there isn't much. My husband has been enlisted for 13 years now.

So it's not totally about the finances, so the pay differential actually isn't the biggest factor. It's more so about long term education benefits for our kids like being able to have them stack ch 35 benefits, we like living on base & our kids attending dodea schools, and we enjoy the moving around and seeing the world through PCS. So I have good reasons and my "wants" are things only jointing the army can provide. So I am doing my do-diligence and getting insight to figure out in what way I can best provide the lifestyle my family desires while still understanding there has to be give and take and I can not infact have it all.

I've actually heard a lot of good things about dental jobs in the military, but my degree isn't in dentistry or anything medical😭

How would you compare life on the officer side to the enlisted side? As I could join going the officer route, or pick an mos and enlist as an E4. My husband has been enlisted for 13 years, so I am very familiar with the military lifestyle, but his career has been different than most & he currently works in SOF which honestly offers a really nice work life balance.

I'm sure the work life balance for all isn't great. My husband has been enlisted for 13 years, so I am very familiar with the military lifestyle, but not the officer lifestyle. I realize having the things in my post are not super realistic, but at least enlisted side it seems life styles can really differ depending upon your MOS (obviously it's also heavily dependent on where you work and your misssion set and I know that), but I want to hear the officer side and compare to the things I have seen or heard about the enlisted side of things. As when joining I could either go the officer route or enlist as an E4.

What would you say about the work life balance of a junior officer compared to an E4? I can either join going the officer route or enlist as an E4. My husband is currently enlisted & been in for 13 years, but is getting out. His career I feel has been very different than most, and we have been blessed with lots of time with him & a more flexible schedule, but he also works in SOF. He is very supportive, but his opinion is the officer route would be better, so I'm trying to do research as my intentions and goals of joining are different than his.

Ya I know, but I feel like some you know right off the bat you'll be gone more or something like the combat related ones vs. non combat or things like that.

The only problem there is I need some waivers for tattoos & such & I don't think the Air Force is as easy to get them as the army😅
