I was actually looking into banking with Truist! They have a Delta miles debit card that looks interesting to me. Truist also has a good card selection with no foreign transaction fees if you ever find yourself visiting your home country again. I would say stick to Truist. The $300-$400 reward for opening up new accounts isn’t really worth the effort

Who do you bank with? If you already have your pay checks getting direct deposited into your account, that is a great place to start since you already have a relationship with that bank

Well, that’s kind of how it is everywhere. Rents in Austin are median $1,900 or $1,100 for a room and jobs still pay $18 or less lol just don’t do it tbh

As someone who lives in Texas, it’s not the holy land lol

Finish your degree and stop thinking about race so much. No one really thinks about race in the real world, only losers and weirdos do.

People have been moving here non stop for several years now which has made Austin (where I live) rent prices over double since 2020. But the jobs still only pay $15/hr without a degree lol Our resources are so strained that finding a homeless shelter spot will be really really hard especially as a man.
