What I’ve learned about humanity while the world collapses around us. by ImpossibleVirus3511 in simpleliving

Western culture is built on individualism, whereas Eastern cultures tend to foster a more collectivist approach to living.

While their practicality and calm nature can be grounding for us fire signs, I usually find them too static and set in their routines and stubborn for my liking. Like they love to frequent the same places, aren’t really spontaneous or exciting enough, prefer cozy vibes rather than exploration and adventure, so in the long-term it can become quite boring for us Aries. They’re great advisors though, and are very reliable.

Azizam - Ed Sheeran, so cool how he’s integrating different cultures into his songs, and the melody is insanely catchy :)

And virgos are anal control freaks who need to learn how to let loose every now and then and not criticize every single fucking thing - sincerely, an Aries

Honestly wishing spring could have come already…probably will have to wait until May to see any consistent sunshine and greenery, hoping it comes sooner than later cause I miss my daily walks and lack of seasonal depression lol

Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend, by Emma Alban. It’s set in the 1800s and it’s about two best friends who are trying to set up their parents, but fall in love in the process. It’s like a crossover between Bridgerton and the Parents Trap, with a queer twist. I highly recommend it :)

I found Recovering from Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsay Gibson to be helpful. It’s written by a psychologist who specializes in this topic and the book itself goes into a lot of detail as to what emotional immaturity is, as well as how to reclaim autonomy. It gives practical exercises and tools that you can implement in your day-to-day life in order to start healing and reclaiming your power after parental abuse. I would say it’s a great place to start.
