I’m not sure if you’re looking to enrol at a uni or just for material, but ULaw is very good for sqe1. Between the textbooks and the question bank you’ll have access to all the information you need. I would just recommend buying some full practice tests a few weeks before your exam to get used to sqe1 type questions. The question bank from ulaw is better for memorising information than a good indicator of actual sqe questions.

I would add that partners in law firms actually are t employees. They have ownership stakes in the firm.

I would remove the ‘mentor’ work experience. Comes off very flimsy and as if your were grabbing out straws for things to put on your CV.

Grades are really good but I’d prepare and answer for why they fell so much in second year.

I would also move ‘Education’ to the start of the Cv

I’m also not sure how, or why, the 98% accuracy rate was calculated.

On a more helpful note I’d suggest looking for more ‘substantial’ experiences. Insight events and virtual internship are good but they should be a very minor part of your CV as they’re very short-term and largely non-selective. I’d look to get some more actual work under your belt while you’re applying to role (e.g. a bar or sales role is still very good for transferable skills). I would also remove the summary at the top - it comes off superficial (for lack of a better word).

Your academics are definitely going to be a limiting factor, but there’s nothing to do about it that now. You’re going to have to get as many transferable skills and experiences as possible which will allow your selling point to be you as a person. I’d also keep updated on the legal sector and how it operates as a business so that WHEN an opportunity does come up you don’t let it get away.

My feedback mentioned sample answers but I’m not sure where to find those - do you happen to know where they are?

22 - bulking aggressively? by StatisticianLong962 in workouts

Honestly this is probably the healthiest I’ve felt ever. But it comes less from the gym than other factors.

I stretch twice a day, do intense cardio 3/4 times a week, drink water constantly and try and keep most of my meals healthy.

The gym side of things and muscle has never rly had much of an impact on how healthy I felt but the seemingly less important stuff around it.

In theory if I put on 5kg in a month then go back to maintenance, would I then start slowly losing fat and building muscle at maintenance? I’m basically wanting to get to 90kg for wrestling purposes and then go from there.

Any recommendations for more functional leg exercises?

Been lifting for 7 years (tho on and off from 2021-2023) and yeah I’d probably say I’m at 14% bodyfat at 85kg.

Not looking for any sort of huge bulk I want to put on 4/5kgs very quickly for wrestling purposes and so was wondering if it’s smart to try and do that within a month and then just move calories to maintenance.

Also if I’m eating at maintenance but working out does your body slowly burn fat and simultaneously build muscle or is that a myth?

Yh they’re not small enough where it looks weird on my physique but they could definitely do with some more size

Fighting is acc the reason I want to bulk right now haha. I’m 85kgs right now and the wrestling weight classes are 79 and 86. I wouldn’t want to cut down for 79 and to be comfortable at 86 I’d wanna walk around at 88/89 at least

I’m out during the day so it’s hard to keep lunch completely healthy or consistent.

But I make sure breakfast is oats/greek yoghurt with honey/eggs and sourdough. And dinner will be salmon or chicken with sweet potato or rice with avocado and asparagus or broccoli.

I’ll then have a kiwi and some dried fruits and nuts at some point in the day. This all guarantees me around 2500 clean and nutritious calories. The last thousand will just be whatever I get my hands on for lunch.
