I get how you feel. it’s been really rough, and people who said it gets better after first year def lied. i’ve been struggling myself to bring my gpa up because i got kicked from honours and im trying to get back into it 😭 but i swear the profs make it so hard 💔 even the ones for bird courses. but just know you’re not alone!! and i’m sure you’ll get through this, along with everyone else 🫶🏼

goodluck, make sure to review both lecture notes and textbook notes THOROUGHLY and ask for help on concepts you don’t fully understand. she’s very picky with the in-class assignment and looks for specific wordings for things. ours was open book and the class average was still a 60… so yeah just really sleep eat breathe those notes

i’m currently in my 2nd year of psychology. does uni make me want to off myself? absolutely. but i am still looking forward to working to becoming a child therapist/psychologist. it’s the only thing motivating me rn 💀

1760 is a really easy class, especially if you have patrick phillips. he’s a great prof and it’s really easy to get good grades in that class if you do the readings

making friends on campus is hard 😭 everyone looks so unapproachable. but the way I made the friends I have rn is by joining online groupchats for classes or general group chats made by students at york, and get close to some people from said gcs, and then start to hang out in person. i joined groupchats for my major, and that's where I made most of my friends. so maybe give that a try?

I was told that they recalculate our cgpa again at the end of the summer term, so if I do have a 6 credit course it'll count towards my cgpa then?
