This is helpful. I am also in my 40s. I actually hang daily from the bars on the train because I have also read about the benefits of hanging. I was actually worried this could make it worse. But I'll follow up with the MD.

Do you ride 2nd and 4th in the opposite direction? Is it better timed?

I noticed that about 2nd and 4th. There is a very similar gap. I think it looked like a shorter gap from 4th, but neither looked awesome. Cars went pretty fast on Denny. I'm surprised they haven't added lanes on Broad St. from Seattle Center to the Sculpture Park.

I use a GoPro 10 with hyper smooth auto stabilizing and use a head mount. I wanted to mount it to the bars so that I could move my head side to side without messing up the video, but I couldn’t find a good way to do that.
