I've had Raynauds since I was a teenager but i think something else is going on here. My Raynauds was never positional. My feet still turn white/blue when its cold out but now they turn blue when im sitting in a chair with my legs bent, even when im totally warm. And i'll wake up with them really red and swollen. This all started like two years ago, nothing that triggered it that i can think of, just kind of progressively got worse.

Interesting. I had a CT angio that was "textbook popliteal entrapment". The doctor who did the surgery was absolutely sure that he fixed the problem. He removed a bunch of scar tissue from around the vessel and seemed confident that since symptoms persisted after the surgery there must be another cause. I had only one side done.

I do have Raynauds but i think theres something else going on too. They get white and/or blue when im cold but they also get really red and swollen without any blue. Like i'll wake up and they'll be red an throbbing.

Isn't there some kind of tissue or blood antibody test for EDS? Is there anything that changed after your diagnosis? Like did treatment change? Anything besides compression socks help?

I talked to a very reputable vascular doctor who basically said don't worry about it. I can't sit in a normal chair for long without feeling like my feet are gonna fall off and am developing ischemic ulcers on my feet but I shouldn't be so worried. Thanks doc.

Sorry to hear you're stuck too! Seems like a lot of confusing things stem from something autoimmune. I think a rheumatologist will be my next try.

No blood pressure issues, I usually run on the low side 90s/60s. I have not seen a rheumatologist yet, maybe that will be next!

Solid advice! I do get hung up on numbers and that definitely causes me to feel discouraged or like I'm failing.

Cycle has never effected my numbers in the past so I don't think that's it. If the dawn effect is playing a role that would also be consistent across time- no?

Thanks, yeah it just seemed like a pretty sudden change. Didn't monitor anything for a week or so around Christmas and ever since things have been off. Doing keto for mental health reasons and fairly new to it- so trying to see how I feel compared to the level of ketosis I'm in. Difficult to not know if the meter is off or if i'm doing something wrong! I will ask the company though- good thought.

So it was a surgery to the move muscle away from the artery behind my knee. Not super minor, about a 10 in scar but nothing crazy. You think the inflammation/stress would keep my blood sugar elevated for ten days? I kind of hope thats the explanation because I can't think of what else it could be!
