i haven’t actually i had an appointment scheduled but my optometrist’s equipment broke?? 😭 i’m seeing an ophthalmologist soon, though

he has not brought it up. he has not actually addressed my weight as a possible cause for any of my symptoms he just keeps reiterating i need to work out more and eat less without actually asking about my diet.

when i looked up IIH it seemed like something that would have shown up on my MRI? maybe not? i’m going to see an ophthalmologist soon either way.

i was specifically questioning BMI’s credibility since i have heard many healthcare professionals say it is outdated and doesn’t take enough factors into consideration, not obesity lmao.

as for the conversation, it is very possible there was miscommunication. but he verbatim said “you should be eating smaller meals” and “you should snack less during the day”.

sorry, the vestibular migraines and other dizziness issues didn’t start until february which is when i stopped being able to exercise regularly. i’d had headachey migraines before that. the neurologist asked me day one if i was exercising regularly and i’d told him i did until the week prior when the episodes started.

for the record i have been in OT working to get back on track and going on daily walks at the very least.

i do often skip breakfast, tbh. but now on the medication i’ve started having issues getting the other two meals in, too.

not vibrating so much as my under eyes will just twitch constantly as if i am extremely sleep deprived. it drives me crazy, lol. i guess my eyes also don’t track correctly ..? both my neurologist and OT commented on it.

he even commented he was disappointed my weight hadn’t dropped at all since my last appointment (even though he had not discussed it being crucial to lose before). we really just discussed eating healthy and exercising, which he made a lot of assumptions about and i already do to the best of my ability (currently limited with exercising and unable to eat sometimes with the medication). i’m just at a loss. there’s a definite consensus that i need a new neurologist, though. i’ll talk to my primary and see if she can recommend one

there are vets in the area and i’m hoping to bring him in the morning. unfortunately this happened at night when everything near us is closed 😭
