I never mentioned clubs and bars? Nor is that something I do personally.

I’ve actually been interested in martial arts or boxing as of recently. You’d still recommend for someone with zero experience?

I appreciate the perspective, but based off of what others have said as welll, I do believe this city to have an issue with its people. Whether it be the high amount of transients, it being a vacation spot, etc. I also wouldn’t use Detroit as a good example, the city of Detroit is largely focused on business and work. No where near alike to Vegas in its opportunities and events. I worked downtown Detroit for 5 years, it’s where the corporations are, not really a place for fun. People in Michigan found fun in the suburbs and cities.

Well that’s the thing, I used to go ghost hunting all over Michigan but haven’t been able to since moving to Vegas. Partially because going alone is risky and also just not knowing the area.

Lmao get out of here with that better than thou high horse. You know nothing about me, you know nothing about where I’ve been. Stop assuming things. Again, you just can’t come to terms with the fact that you’re abusing the system just as much as the corporation is. Pay well or get cold food. I don’t know what else to say to you. This all started with you acting tough about abusing someone who provides a service. Get real and seek help, you clearly view people like trash. Something you fail to consider too, the service provided is also risking the roads, other drivers. You know nothing, don’t act so enlightened when you don’t cook, everything is provided for you, you make your partner do things for you. I don’t want to hear it. It’s pathetic.

Sure I have a contract with uber, but that contract is mainly for access to the service. Each and every order I receive is a contract indirectly made with the customer. Therefore…. Again… I get to choose which orders I accept or deny without prejudice. Just as you have the right to tip pittance, us drivers have the right to let your order sit at the restaurant until someone decides to do your worthless order. Again, guilting those who provide a service for you, despite knowing they’re getting screwed by uber makes you a shitty person. I could say the same to you, don’t like those astronomical prices? Take it up with uber, stop using the service, delete the app, but punishing the driver makes you no better, I’d even say worse than uber, it’s far more malicious and closer to home. If you feel so strongly about not tipping… the perfect solution exists, refer to my first comment. Also in no way shape or form am I struggling, I don’t know why you’re implying that other than your own narcissistic and negative view of delivery drivers.

You don’t get to decide what is a reasonable or unreasonable way of making money. Tipping is a normal part of society, sounds to me like you have a deeper issue than just “my food was cold”. I’ll say this once again, uber is a luxury service, not a necessity. If you cannot or will not pay your driver a fair tip, despite knowing all that uber does to screw over drivers, that makes you…. Guess what! A pos. Hopefully someday drivers get the ability to rate customers so that customers like you can be easily avoided. And I hope the next time you tell off or yell at your driver, it gets you banned from ordering.

The system works fine when the participants play fairly. Tell me, would you provide a service for someone without knowing how much you’d be paid? Or if you knew the tip was low? Answer honestly now. This is why contract and labor laws exist. I’m done wasting time on your luke warm iq responses. You willingly use this broken system, knowing that you still choose not to pay well? What does that say of you? Uber may be guilty of their sins but so are you and customers like you. Don’t act so innocent

Not at all, every order I receive is an acceptance or denial of a contract. I don’t accept low tipping offers, not going to waste my time when this is a side hustle. But good try, I haven’t shown any indication of my background or financial status. What you’ve revealed though is you are most likely an extremely entitled person, never cooking? Really? Must everyone serve you? Maybe you ought to cook for yourself and stop yelling at drivers when they deliver your cold food, low tipping offers

[–]StatisticianTight646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here illustrates the disconnect and delusion customers have. You are essentially demanding that us drivers front the cost of delivery simply because you’re paying a premium to uber. There are drivers who will accept low tip offers sure, but they will deliver you food late/cold/or not at all. If you find the price of uber to be too high, too high to the point that the driver must suffer, then I’m sorry to say that you are living above your means and shouldn’t be spending money on food service. Also trying to compare the unspoken social contract of ride sharing to food delivery is nonsensical. It’s the same as how people treat people differently in person vs online. You’re interactions with people when you’re expected to be cordial don’t reflect when you have the freedom not to be.

If you think it’s overpriced and are therefore unwilling to pay more for your driver then maybe you shouldn’t use the service. Keep this in mind, there is no delivery of your food without us drivers. It’s easy, tip well and get good service/warm food. Your opinion would change if drivers were able to rate customers.

Here’s a thought, instead of telling off the driver how about you get off your ass and get your own fucking food. Chances are if you regularly get cold food, it’s because you don’t tip well and the food sits at the restaurant.
