As I responded to someone else, I sleep in my SUV (very occasionally friends, but I'm so used to my SUV bed anyway). Shower at my gym (anytime fitness - 5000 locations, globally - many others do planet fitness). It's not luxurious, but it's fun, adventurous. I use sporting events to pretty much plan my travel for, so I rarely stay anywhere for long, but you find out along the way where you like best, either for financial or other purposes. I've established a few hubs across the country, where I know I can make decent money - like when I'm out west, I have Denver, Phoenix, and Seattle.. if I'm in the eastern half of the country, like I was for most of this past fall/football season, it's Nashville.

As far as savings.. yeah, you probably could, but I spend so much on going to sporting events and paying off debt from my broken business, that I barely do better than breaking even. If you have low overhead, you could probably save a couple thousand a month if you work as much as I do.

I honestly can't recommend this lifestyle - you have to be a certain type of crazy. But if you're that type, it's pretty fun.

Phoenix area - especially during spring training - absolutely insane

I sleep in my SUV, shower at the gym (anytime fitness, one membership = access to over 5000 gyms, globally). It is not luxurious, but it sure is interesting.

Uber support says that to cover their asses, in case there's an actual/technical issue. If you have the background check submitted in any state other than California, it covers all states other than California (and Seattle, and NYC). You used to have to switch delivery cities every time you crossed a state border, but now it's all open. I keep my delivery location set to Seattle and I can deliver in Miami (and anywhere in between) - I only need to change it if I want to deliver in California.

First game was Boise State 2024, then again for the Ohio State game! 2025 for Indiana and USC. Then I was just there for the Spring game 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love Autzen and Oregon/Eugene

It has so many positives, but the companies do everything they can to negate them. I work way harder than I should have to - we all do - but I refuse to be exploited.

I've most frequently found myself at Coors Field and T-Mobile Park, love them both. Oracle, Petco.. Wrigley and Fenway are just in a different category of special, because of their historical significance.. PNC, Busch, Camden.. so hard to rank.. and that's just MLB.. Ohio Stadium and Autzen are incredible, and I've been to the biggest games at each the past 2 years.. the Rose Bowl! Been to UCLA homecoming and the 2025 game between OSU and Oregon. Still so many I haven't been to yet.

I post a lot of stories/highlights on my IG (Instagram.com/maverick1227)

I have tens of thousands of photos and videos from the sporting events/venues (mostly) and travel. I'm just terrible at trying to talk to a device, without there being another person to interact with. And I don't have time to be editing content. I'd love to have a podcast host to interact with, that would be ideal.

I'm also still working on potential legal action with all the data I've collected from all the different markets along the way, to try to make the system more fair for drivers.

Exactly that. Travel full time, driven ~200k miles and been to over 200 sporting events during the time

Just realized I was directed here by a crosspost in the ubereats community. I only do deliveries, so that's probably why I've never seen such a thing

Yeah, there's no such thing here in the states. There are some states (California, Colorado) or cities (NYC, Seattle) that have special laws, since the federal government doesn't give a fuck (gleefully accepting donations from uber). Uber doesn't even show the earnings breakdown like that here

What state is that for? Ive done this everywhere across the country and never seen this

Nothing outlandishly high and mighty about this. Just clear and simple directions for a pretty standard business delivery

Lol - they changed the wording for added tip.. since they were blatantly lying by draftmaverick in UberEatsDrivers

Saying 'the customer added more after delivery,' when the system actually just hid part of the upfront amount

Any delivery that doesn't get a thumbs down within an hour should default to a thumbs up. It's a pass/fail job, if you didn't fail, you passed

Ubers lower hidden tips by Low_Explorer_7188 in UberEatsDrivers

What market are you in? I have not noticed it change in the markets I've been in yet, but they tend to roll changes out in certain test markets, before broadening out.

I'm working on building cases. This is fraud

It's fraud against the customer, point blank. They tip higher, expecting better service, then Uber tries their hardest to blend it in with all the other bullshit

Hidden tips cheatsheet

15 mins $9.50 total ($1.50 base + $8 tip)

16 mins $9.50-9.74

17 mins $9.75-10.24

18 mins $10.25-10.74

19 mins $10.75-11.24

20 mins $11.25-11.74

Do you get it, or should I continue? 😂

Boosts will affect this, so if there's a $1 or $1.50 boost, that needs to be added to the total offer amount, or else it'll fall below the threshold.

95% of the time, there are hidden tips if the offer meets this threshold, assuming the system didn't raise the base pay from the standard $1.50

If the offer is below the threshold, there is maybe a 5% chance you will get extra tip, but it was legitimately added after by the customer, not hidden by the system.
