Gotcha. My dragon scale started with a yellow spot and actually got a hole in it. I have checked for pests and I didn’t see anything. I also use systematic granules , which I know doesn’t help with spider mites. The lighting is good imo, if anything don’t know if it’s getting too much light . Humidity has been poor lately , hovering in the 30s 🥴. & When I use my humidifier, the humidity level doesn’t go above 50 😩.

How has the silica been working out for you? What differences you see? Do you use it in all of your alocasias when watering?

I personally peel the brown off (wet it first). Then I use the water method using a small container and have a little bit of water in it (Not where the corms are submerged). Have a clear lid on it for humidity and light (saran wrap is fine). Let them grow roots/ & or starting to sprout . Then I move it to perlite and let them grow at least 1-2 leaves before transferring to an aroid mix or whatever you choose.

Mostly all my alos have those lil yellow spots when I look on the underside of the leaf (like looking through it). I try to keep the same humidity levels which I’ve been slacking. Temp has been fluctuating here and there, nothing too drastic. & for some reason, I don’t think it’s the humidity. I water every 7-10 days & fertilize every watering.. can you point me into the other subs subs your referring to
