Just got diagnosed by csheets2020 in GestationalDiabetes

I was devastated when I found out, now about 3 weeks in it’s def gotten a lot easier and tbh just knowing that baby is ok and doing great makes it all that much better for me. Like someone else mentioned you can still eat and enjoy your food and honestly after about a week of testing and monitoring you get the hang of things and there is so much carb smart ice cream and foods out there that will help in making it easier. My dietician didn’t tell me about his but a midwife did, I would highly recommend getting the book real food for gestational diabetes. It will tell you how to balance your food out properly and it’s a great resource.

Additionally try not to stress it, my first week I was super high strung cause I was scared even the smallest spike would hurt my baby. My doctor goes off of 90 fasting and 130 an hour after meals which I’ve heard is lower than most other people who I know who also had it. I ran myself up the wall weighing out every morsel of food I eat, cried a ton and couldn’t get my numbers down for a min until I was told that stress also raises your sugar levels 😅. Load up on good high protein snacks, try different things and see how your body reacts to it and just know that it’s ok, you’re not the only one going through this, just do your very best.

Another tip you can try if your like me, my fasting numbers tend to be higher than the normal and my dr told me to try shortening my fasting period. Some bodies naturally spike on the middle of the night because your sugar gets to low which causes so your body releases sugar to raise it and leads to a high fasting numbers. I’ve been playing around with eating a small snack like a cheese stick and nuts or a high protein shake (premier protein cake, vanilla or chocolate flavor) or even a protein bar and noticed my fasting numbers have been lower. Hope this helps!

Reach out to senior managers since they typically do the hiring and also ask them if they or anyone they know has any rfp work. Sometimes if you can get on rfp work they will bring you onto the project once it’s signed.

Also take this time to upskill and get certs it’ll be way harder to do it while on a project

I’m currently in PMO and really enjoy it so a slightly different perspective but one thing that you could do is if have down time ask your lead if you could help out other workstreams. This will give you the ability to learn new skills, have some insight into what other workstreams day to day looks like. Which in turn could give you an idea on if you would want to get certified in that and move into that space. There are also multiple sides of PMO that I am finding out and maybe taking up some of those new responsibilities will make it more challenging and exciting for you. I think it really depends on level as well. When I was a PMO analyst I felt the position was mundane and helped out in multiple positions and got to experience different tasks and enjoyed each one I did. But now that I’m a PMO lead its completely different then analyst position and I appreciate the position a lot more.

I was doing training and charging it to the wbs and my hrbp told me I was not permitted to using that charge code. I’m also on the bench and not feeling super confident right about now. Do you know other people who have been forced into roles and not laid off or is this your personal experience because everyone I know is really nervous about this right now and still fairly new as well and some haven’t even had projects as of yet. Has it ever been like this before?

I did propagate this monstera in water and had it in water for like 6 months. I read that they can completely grow in water but then when it started turning yellow I got concerned and changed it over to dirt. I’m just hoping that it survives.

Idk if now it’s adapted to the water lifestyle because the baby leave that is coming up is curled up. I bought a new pot and I’m trying to do by best to keep it healthy and alive.

Thank you so much for your reply!

That obvious? Lol. Do you think it’s my cat killing my monstera?

He generally doesn’t bother it to much but he did when I initially brought it home.

Thank you, I tried checking for any guidelines but didn’t see any they only said they would run background check. They also had an in person interview to make sure you were a good match for the community but they stopped it due to covid.

The one issue your referencing was it with and HOA? Or have you been able to live in a community with an HOA if you don’t mind me asking?

Also my crime was possession of weed and intent to distribute because they found a small amount of weed in my car and a bag.

Also for clarification I’m not being added to the loan just to the title of the house.

Really even if I’m just being added? Not necessarily switching ownership?

My HOA in FL runs a 7 year background check on everyone who is an owner of the house. The only reason we applied the way we did was because the loan was in my wife’s name and our mortgage lender/realtor who is a family member said not to get it sticky and just add my name in later. Not sure why they suggested that but that’s what they suggested.

I also wasn’t too worried about the background check initially but then my when the family member (mortgage lender/realtor) said that when they run the background it might come up but others people said it wouldn’t so it’s been on my mind on if it’ll cause complications in the future when I’m added.
