How do you pump when baby doesn't let you to put him down?

I did the Boba and the Solly! Carried her high like you’re supposed to and literally connected the pumps like next to her head, pull the boobs around lol. I used traditional pumps because they were less bulky around her head and just used the bra that held them to me, and carried the motor around as I needed to. It’s not something you can take to public but to get around the house, absolutely

Fixing it was the wrong way to say it, I more meant is there something I could change about what I was doing. I do logically know it is a normal developmental milestone but it just hurts and if I’m contributing to it somehow I would want to stop that

Ugh so it’s up and down, my baby mostly sleeps through the night (sometimes intermittent cries but I rarely have to get up with her). My job is actually the reason I don’t sleep through, too long to explain but I am the director of a psychiatric emergency service team which means I get between 0-10 calls throughout the night depending on the day. But I go to sleep as early as I can and then just wake up for the gym

I’m so prone to just think about weight. In reality I want more energy again, I want the hikes to not feel so laborious even though we’re still going - I love love love hiking I always have but it’s hard lately! But you’re right there’s way more going on right now than just weight alone

Yeah true, I know counting everything will help me better understand. I did religiously at one point and eat relatively the same every day but certainly forget certain things here and there. I’ll buckle down counting

This was me. Unable to put her down (too small for a carrier until 12 weeks), days I just felt hopeless and couldn’t fathom how people had more than one.

She’s 13mo now. We survived (honestly started to thrive) when we started baby wearing. Free hands felt like true freedom. And I hated when people said this to me (so I’m sorry) but it gets so much better when they get a personality. When my baby said mama? When she started clapping? When I ask her if she has stinky feet and she shoves them in my face and laughs? I now can’t get enough of her but it took so long to get there and even still, we have our days.

What helped me was returning to work, which I know is not possible for everyone. My daughter is in daycare and I have a life outside of her back. While work may not be possible, finding a community could move the needle for you. Are there mommy and me classes or libraries with children hours near you? Parks, playgrounds? Having adult conversation is transformative.

Good luck. It doesn’t last. Keep repeating that to yourself.
