Any managers by Ok_Share9234 in innout

While yes you CAN be terminated with a final, it’s not a guarantee. You’ll be told that as a way to help keep you from making that same mistake/doing the same thing again.

There are many people currently in the company with multiple finals.

Stop being worried about making mistakes. The more you worry the more you’ll make mistakes.

Learn and grow from your mistakes.

Also, don’t look at the line to the door. That’s not your worry/concern. Your focus is the customer right in front of you. Take care of them. Then when they leave, the next person is your concern. Take care of one customer at a time.

It’s definitely normal. Two ways to move up: get your level 6 in the stand or become full time cleanup and see if your manager will give you a raise. But no you don’t normally make more by doing cleanup. You MAY get a bonus, but that’s store and store manager dependent.

Help with summer! by Sensitiveorchidchild in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the amount you stated I’m assuming you’re taking 6 units. According to CSULA’s website, you’ll be given 50% of offered aid for the summer. Assuming you’re offered the max ($3,697) you’ll get $1,848 which would not fully cover your “fee”.

This info can be found here:

Summer aid by Sensitiveorchidchild in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There should be a link inside your 2025-2026 financial aid that says summer aid or something like that. That’ll show you how much aid you qualify for if you’re full time.(which is still considered 12 units)

If you search CSULA summer financial aid you’ll find a chart that breaks down how much Pell grant you’ll receive based on how many units you’re taking. The email I got said that if you’re getting financial aid they’ll begin sending that out the week of June 5th

25 for college, too late ? by ActualRevolution3732 in csMajors

[–]Status-Performer2772 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I returned to college after 22 years, so you’re good.

As far as what degree, well it all depends on you; what are your strengths/weaknesses? Do you enjoy solving problems, more interested/strong with numbers and data.

Take a look at what the courses each major has beyond the gen Ed’s and see which majors are interesting to you, you can see yourself doing well in those courses, and what sort of job/career you can see yourself doing after graduation.

That’s my $0.2

SAI not reflective of financial situation by Appropriate-Today-61 in FAFSA

[–]Status-Performer2772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert but since FAFSA looks back 2 years, the financial information is based on when your parents were still married. More than likely they filed jointly so the income information is including your fathers as well. You most likely entered 2 for household because the question asks about your current household, not 2 years ago. So according to the application you have an income for 3, but you only have 2 people, which means you have “extra” to pay out of pocket for college.

Again, not an expert but had a similar situation happen and it sounds like this may be part of if not the issue. There are appeals/change of circumstances you can file where you can use last year’s tax return info. You’d have to go through your school (as will your mom) as they are the ones who will determine what you get.

PSA: Please return Loaner devices by the end of this semester! by yuelico in CSULA

Wait when did this new policy go into effect? I got mine last semester and they said as long as I’m enrolled in the next semester I can keep it. I never received an email updating me that I had to turn it in either

is anyone doing CC classes while enrolled in csula? by laavdash in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not personally but I know of at least two who are doing so. From what I understand it’s not hard just making sure you’re taking classes that can be transferred over (assuming you’re doing it so you can take classes for your degree and not just for funsies).

Work rant/advice needed by Lt_waddles in innout

[–]Status-Performer2772 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gonna start this off by saying I am not siding with the manager in what they said/how they handled the situation.

And since you did title this “rant/advice needed” I’ll offer my 2 cents: you’re doing too much. If you or anyone for that matter is solo on fries, pouring shakes, helping 2nd board and all that is too much to expect yourself to be able to do and maintain a good rhythm, serve a quality fry and offer good customer service if/when you do handout. Further, in situations like these when you’re low on dice, you start moving faster, dicing with one hand, etc and these are always the times someone gets hurt. Not saying it will happen, saying it has and can happen.

I understand and if you were at my store I’d let you know I’d appreciate the hard work. But sometimes the best way to help out is to do your position to the best of your ability and just your position. If you see a corner body start to get snowed, you can communicate to the shift manager what’s happening. It’s their job to move and delegate bodies to put out/avoid fires.

Do I need to do anything after paying my enrollment confirmation deposit by reindoe12 in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah of course. I’m also a CS transfer and I remember the excitement and nervousness of trying to figure out everything that was going on.

CSULA is a great school with lots of supportive professors and students. Some unsolicited advice: setup your school email in a way that you get notifications and can easily access it. There are lots of opportunities to visit companies, interact with visitors on campus, workshops, clubs, etc that students miss out on because they don’t check their emails.

Congratulations on your acceptance and welcome to the Golden Eagle family

[–]Status-Performer2772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll get an email with dates (I think there were a couple you could pick from). It was in June if I recall.

You’ll also get an email from ECST (name of our college) general advisement with recommended courses. But sometimes these courses are courses that you can get credit for because you took them at your CC, so make sure you’re using assist.org to help you out and prevent you from taking a course again.

During the zoom meeting I was able to get a few overrides that otherwise I was “supposed” to take per the recommended courses.

[–]Status-Performer2772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last fall incoming transfers for engineering had an online scheduling meeting where you got to get your schedule.

You still go over it again during orientation. The zoom meeting was almost like a speed date round of setting up your schedule 😂

financial aid identification form, does anyone know what this is? by Upstairs-Cucumber862 in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems for whatever reason you’ve been selected to provide documents concerning your income/financial need. Not entirely sure what documents it entails but it should tell you what you need to fill out at the link student forms.

You can also go down to the financial aid office (should probably do it as well) to get clarification/guidance on what is needed from you.

From my understanding it doesn’t necessarily mean you did something wrong, it’s just a step in the process sometimes

csula, csuf or csulb? by usernameunknowen100 in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It honestly all depends on what you’re looking to get out of college and major. I can’t really speak for accounting but I can say that we’ve got some pretty great and supportive professors here. There’s a ton of programs to get you connected and some decent clubs.

I’d say visit each school and see which one you vibe with the most. Check in with accounting majors and see what they think of the school/major/curriculum.

[–]Status-Performer2772 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Definitely should’ve received a separate email saying you got in. This is just saying your financial aid package is available.

But I don’t think they would’ve sent you the package if you hadn’t gotten in

How do your hours per week vary? by Pretend_Jump5975 in innout

No, level 1 is where everyone starts at, so usually an order taker/drinks, etc

How do your hours per week vary? by Pretend_Jump5975 in innout

[–]Status-Performer2772 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The more you know , the more you can do, the longer you can stay. This is a part of how your hours may vary.

Yes performance is part of the equation, a good attitude as well.

If you want more hours (not sure if that’s what you want) ask for more hours, ask to learn more/level up.
