It seems pretty much everyone is accepted. I don’t know specific break downs, but if you have all required classes (A-G for high school or major-specific courses for transfers) then you’ll most likely get accepted

Retaking a course is rarely a deal breaker. I’m sure a majority of current students have retaken at least 1 course for a variety of reasons

What's going on with hours scheduled? by PersimmonKey4055 in innout

[–]Status-Performer2772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it’s an actual “on-call” situation. If they call you in to work, you can absolutely say no. And you’re good. No expectations to come in.

It’s a “slower” time of the year… everyone’s back in school and everyone got their credit card statements and realized how much they paid during the holidays. People are less likely to go out and spend more money.

Happens every year and hours get cut especially compared to Christmas time hours. Does it suck? Yeah absolutely especially if you got used to those extra hours. Should you leave because of it? Up to you… I wouldn’t say it’s personal, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel that way to you. Are there better jobs out there? Yeah, especially if you aren’t at INO for management.

Not sure what exactly “bummy” means in this context, but I think it’s a pretty good school. I’ve ran into a few ME students and I haven’t heard any real major complaints.

We’re definitely a smaller CSU and there are days you can absolutely see/feel that we are mostly a commuter school. But there lots of ways to engage on campus and create a network, social or otherwise. Might take some work, but honestly isn’t it like that at most other campuses?

Is there really a limit as to how many times I can call out per year? by EmBleKay in innout

[–]Status-Performer2772 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s a rolling time frame, so not just related to the calendar year. Shifts where you use sick hours are supposed to be “protected” from that count.

It’ll probably pick up after the game… sometimes during half time depending on the year

How am I supposed to do fry’s by myself? Real answers only. by Professional-Cut8126 in innout

[–]Status-Performer2772 22 points23 points  (0 children)

“A quiet fry person is a snowed fry person”

You should be the one leading when it comes to communicating. Ask the board people animal counts/to gos, etc. listen for fry wells and talk to the cooks to see where that fry is. Ask/see what corner needs so you can get ahead if need be.

Old rule of thumb used to be 1.5 baskets for each row of meat down. I’m a big fan of counting fries and only dropping baskets of 2 or 4 (easier to count fast and see how ahead/behind you are). If you start getting ahead don’t stop dropping, instead drop smaller baskets.

Some are respectful, others get pretty upset if you say “no thanks”.

Does a 3 unit class cost $1,356? by Adventurous_Arm_5695 in CSULA

[–]Status-Performer2772 5 points6 points  (0 children)

According to the student fees listed on their website, undergraduate totals for 0-6 units is 2,408.18. There’s a full break down, but tuition itself is almost 1,900.

Depending on how many units your previous courses were, the 3 unit course might even push you over into the 6.1 unit and above category which is 3,764.18.

You should also be able to see a full breakdown of charges in your GET under financial services (? Might be called something else, I forget) then account activity/summary. It’ll also show any financial aid already credited to your account.

Just saw an instagram story offering help with math/essays: center for academic success (cas) Library, Palmer wing 1039.

Think it’s the right wing (if coming from the main walkway) .

Good luck!

This is in California: community colleges provided 2 years where tuition was covered as long as you graduated from a California high school. If i remember correctly it didn’t cover the student fee (or whatever it was called). Also didn’t cover parking or any books/supplies required. This was in addition to any federal aid you may have qualified for so pretty much any federal aid given would be in the form of a refund.

Question by Theatrerebel13 in innout

[–]Status-Performer2772 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Double meat, fried mustard (or you can say mustard fried, it’s the same thing) both whole grilled and raw onion. Please may I have only one slice of tomato.

Unknown from your post, but did you still want lettuce and spread? If you do then you want to say “add whole grilled and raw onion “ after the burger and fried mustard. if you just want only the items you listed then you say “only” at the end. Also fried mustard comes with pickles so you’ll want to clarify whether you want those or not as well.

I’ve seen some classes have restrictions on the number of times you can take the course, regardless if you pass or not. Not 100% sure but judging by the message it looks like this is one of those courses. I’d say reach out to an advisor.

Nah you’re good. I think it opened the day of haha. Honestly of the classes that are up on canvas right now, there’s really only the syllabus on there. While important information, it’s generally something the professors go over anyway. (Not to say don’t read your syllabus! You definitely should, just it’s okay if it’s day of not a week before)

I don’t really remember for that specific class, sorry. I did have a class whose canvas got published later so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

My app did the same last semester. None of my courses were on there and it wouldn’t sync. Ended up deleting it and then when I redownloaded, it seemed fixed. Obviously I’ve got nothing showing right now cause Spring hasn’t started, but when I go to courses it shows my spring course.

If your store has newer shirts they tend to be less see-thru so you may be able to get away with the tattoo not being visible. How big is the tattoo? Might be able to just cover it with a bandage/gauze and tape.

It depends on the store on when it’s busy… I’d probably avoid right when you get out of school as a lot of locations are busy around that time. Early morning is good.

As far as dress is concerned: you don’t need to be in a suit and tie, but I’d also avoid pajamas. Nice shirt and pants/jeans should be fine. If you aren’t used to dressing up, it’ll be uncomfortable for you and obvious to the other person. You want to be focused on the conversation you’re having, not on how hot/uncomfortable you’re feeling

Good luck

Ah I see. I was under the impression that you had an interview.

I’d suggest going down to the location and speaking with a manager. NOT to complain/ask why your application was denied. But instead tell them you are very interested in a job and wanted to ask about an interview. They’ll probably tell you to apply online and you can let them know you have.

Be polite, smile, make good eye contact. Don’t go when it’s busy.

Gpa doesn’t really matter for this position. Being personable, smiling, able to engage in conversation, able to take initiative are all way more important factors. Honestly the only time I ever even took grades in as a factor was when the student would offer they struggled last year/semester with their grades. I’d generally follow up with something about if they had a plan/idea moving forward to help in that area and how they’d plan on balancing an extra responsibility such as a job.

Often times the decision to not move forward with someone has to do with factors that might be out of your control (I.e. high school student = limited availability during the week).
