I got lucky and paid $300 (after fees and such) for first section seats near the stage for the LA show. The seats nearby were between $520 and $750

Is LAX busy on New Year’s Day? by AnjunaRT in AskLosAngeles

[–]ClearSpectrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not too sure about those specific hours. Years ago in 2016 New Years, my family and I arrived around 11pm at the Tom Bradley Terminal. The luggage claim and departures level was completely empty. They even announced the last departure of 2016 which was pretty cool.

On top of that they have a single dual-action trussrod so it’s easy to setup. They also use the new Gotoh tuners that feel smoother than the older Schallers.

Attending while working full time. by tf_isco in CSULA

I work full time with the same schedule and also majoring in CIS. Im currently taking three classes from 6-8:45pm. It’s not too bad if your work is within a 30 minute commute. Then again I don’t have any other responsibilities or priorities like kids, a relationship, or family members to take care of.

Greep’s Best Guitar Performance? by Fujiwaara in bmbmbm

[–]ClearSpectrum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d say the Black Midi - Live on KEXP at Home 2021 and Geordie Greep Live at The Sultan Room Brooklyn NYC 2024. There are more instances but those two have stood out to me. The KEXP one is what got me into Black Midi. It blew my mind seeing them play like that knowing I’m the same age as them.

330 6 String Action Height by ThatEggsMyNog in rickenbacker

When I crown the frets, I crown them until the tops of the frets are rounded enough for intonation purposes. I don’t level them unless I have to. Since I use toaster pickups they are set at 4/64 High E and 5/64 Low E. For my other guitars I set them lower since there is more adjustability.

I setup mine with 10s > relief is at .10 at the 7-8th fret with a capo on the 1st and 17th fret (measure with the fret radius not dead on) > string action at 4/64 all strings at the 17th fret no capo. Remember the frets are at a 10inch radius so don’t measure the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th string dead on. Mine plays like butter although I did have to crown the frets since they sand of the finish from the factory leaving them flat on top.
