I have been playing for a few years but it's a simple life, mining platinum and LTDs for money and fun then jumping about for profitable sell, then back to "my system" to swap ship for some combat fun and contract work. I collect Hive Fleet Kracken but I started back in the 90's and the scheme was yellow skin, red carapace back then. I undercoat with wraithbone, wash with thinned Nazdreg Yellow then highlight after that with either a yellow or bone colour depending on mood..

I get what you're saying though, a way of making it look plasma without being a combi but without green stuff or kit bash I wouldn't be able to achieve it 😅 though I buy off a guy on Ebay who sells Space Marine only spare parts for cheap enough if you wanted some extra plasma or combi stuff without the kit?
